Leaders of Hung Yen province and Son La province signed the cooperation memorandum of understanding

The conference saw the attendance of: Mr. Tran Quoc Toan, Deputy Secretary of Standing Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Hung Yen province; Mr. Nguyen Thai Hung, Member of Provincial Standing Party committee, Chairman of People's Council of Son La provinceand members in the Provincial Standing Party committees, heads of departments, districts, towns and cities of two provinces.

Speaking to open the conference, Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia was grateful for the Provincial Party committees and leaders of departments of the two provinces sharing experiences and exchanging knowledge of Party building and other fields of socio-economic development. The Secretary of Provincial Party Committee affirmed thatin the past years, Hung Yen province and Son La province had built a nice, supportive relationship on many fields.This working program is an important chance to tighten the bond between two provinces.

At the conference, Mr. Tran Quoc Toan briefed the outstanding achievements of Hung Yen province in the past years, especially on 2021.Party building is paid attention to the leadership and direction in the practical way.Timely grasp and study the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress, the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress and the Resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels, and at the same time, the province has concretized those resolutions by programs, schemes and plans for implementation. In 2021, GRDP increased by 6.52%; GRDP per capita accounted for VND 87.4 million. The economic mechanism moved towards industry; total budget revenue accounted for over VND 19 billion, reaching 140% compared to the plan. The fields of education and training, health care, culture and ensuring social security are always concerned. The poverty reduced to 1.32%.

According to the report of the leader of Son La province, thanks to the leadership and instruction of Party levels, the Government, efforts and determination of the whole political system and economic components, People of the province effectively have implemented "the dual goals" which both ensure the pandemic control and prevention and maintain production and business.In 2021, GRDP per capita reached VND 45.2 million, the budget revenue reached over VND 4,000 billion. The province continues to shift the agricultural economic structure towards commodities, promote the development of high-tech agriculture; focus on developing the electricity industry and processing agricultural products. Activities on culture and sports were implemented appropriately under Covid-19 pandemic situation to serve political tasks and entertainment of the People.

At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia added more experiences in building industrial parks, administrative reforms, site clearance and transport infrastructure construction in order to attract investments and create favorable conditions to trades and travel; developing urban areas; applying high technologies in agricultural production; training personnel to meet demands of industrial parks; building advanced new style rural areas; implementing the social welfare.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Huu Dong emphasized the good relationship between two provinces in the past years and wished to have more sharing, support and exchange in the coming time.Leaders of Son La province thanked leaders and people of Hung Yen province have assisted them to build houses for poor households and implement meaningful social activities in the province.Now Son La province has been concentrating on personnel training to meet demands inside and outside the province and developing new style rural areas and transport infrastructure.

After discussing and reaching agreement, the Standing Board of Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee and the Standing Board of the Son La Provincial Party Committee signed a memorandum of understanding on comprehensive cooperation between Hung Yen and Son La provinces in the period of 2022 - 2025 with the following contents:Party building work; tourism development; training, fostering and developing human resources; development, production, processing and consumption of agricultural products; planning, investment attraction, urban development of industrial zones and clusters; building a cultural life associated with new rural construction; fields of health, education, science and technology; national defense and security.

* Previously, in the morning of March 5, Mr. Tran Quoc Toan led the delegation of Son La province to visit Thang Long II Industrial Park- one of the typical industrial parks of the province.

According to the report, Thang Long II Industrial Park has now been receiving 107 investment projects with the registered capital of USD 3 billion creating jobs for 26,500 laborers.The expanded area of Thang Long II Industrial Park is under the process of site clearance.

In this visit, the delegation also took a factory tour to Panasonic Appliances Vietnam Co., Ltd in Thang Long II Industrial Park.
