On the afternoon of August 28, the Party Committee of Tan Thuan Commune held a conference for direct meeting and dialogue between the Secretary of the Commune Party Committee, who is also Chairman of the Commune People's Council, and local residents for 2026.

At the conference, residents of the villages raised many opinions, focusing on the following: requesting the commune to take effective measures for flood drainage to protect agricultural production, especially during the rainy and stormy season; paying attention to allocating funding and working premises for mass associations; upgrading several riverside embankments in the commune; and establishing a specialized team to regularly test the quality of clean water to protect residents' health. They also called for reviewing broken loudspeakers of the public address system in the villages and developing plans to repair or replace them to serve information work; reviewing and assessing the capacity of village officials after the merger, with plans to strengthen commune officials to support weaker villages; and stepping up day-and-night security and order patrols and control at the grassroots. In addition, residents asked the commune to find solutions to thoroughly deal with indiscriminate littering on dike slopes and environmental pollution from some production establishments, speed up the issuance of land use right certificates, and pay attention to investing in and restoring historical and cultural relics in the commune.

In a spirit of open and frank dialogue, the Secretary of the Commune Party Committee and Chairman of the Commune People's Council, together with leaders of specialized divisions, directly received, explained and responded to the residents' feedback and recommendations.
