Provincial People's Committee Works with Central Interdisciplinary Delegation on Proposed New Wards
On the morning of August 27, the Provincial People's Committee of Hung Yen worked with the central interdepartmental task force to survey the current status of areas planned to establish wards in Hung Yen province. Attending the meeting were Deputy Minister of the Interior Truong Hai Long, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Nghiem, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Department of Interior Affairs Dao Hong Van, and Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Tran Thi Tuyet Huong.

According to the dossier of the Scheme on the establishment of wards in Hung Yen Province in 2026, 36 communes are expected to become wards. These communes have favorable natural conditions and geographical locations, with connections to the province's central urban areas, the capital Ha Noi, the Red River Delta, international border gates and the seaport system in the Northeast, creating ample room for the development of industry, urban areas, trade, services, logistics and high-quality agriculture.
Over the years, urban development in these communes has received attention, and many framework infrastructure projects, urban area projects and residential area projects have been invested in synchronously. The management of planning, architecture and urban order has received increasing attention; urban space and architectural landscapes have undergone many improvements; and the quality of urban areas has been steadily enhanced. The establishment of the wards basically meets the conditions and criteria as prescribed.
At the working session, members of the central interdisciplinary working delegation gave comments on the dossier of the Scheme on the establishment of wards in Hung Yen Province in 2026, and reported the results of their field surveys and working sessions with the 36 communes expected to become wards. Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Truong Hai Long and members of the delegation expressed agreement with the Scheme dossier prepared by Hung Yen Province. They also requested that the Provincial People's Committee, departments, agencies and communes closely follow the criteria for ward establishment to continue reviewing and more clearly assessing the following: the role and functions of the proposed wards for the province; urban population size; labor structure; and the poverty rate.

Speaking at the working session, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Nghiem sincerely thanked the central interdisciplinary working delegation for their comments. He assigned the departments, agencies and localities to fully incorporate the comments and complete the contents as requested by the delegation, and to soon finalize the Scheme on the establishment of wards in Hung Yen Province in 2026 and submit it to the competent authorities for consideration and comments in accordance with regulations.
