After 10 years, Hung Yen city has a developed economy with a high growth rate

The average economic growth rate from 2009 to now has reached nearly 12% per year. Compared to 2009, the budget revenue in 2019 is estimated at nearly VND 1.8 trillion, up 4.3 times. Income per capita is estimated at over VND 69 million per person per year, up 4 times.
The infrastructure is built synchronously. There are over 1.1 thousand projects granted the investment certificates. A number of new residential area is expanded and has changed the face of the city towards civilization and modernization.

The fast urbanization of Hung Yen city
Mr. Lam Van Dau, An Thinh street, Hien Nam ward, Hung Yen province said: “ The urbanization pace is fast; roads are widened and upgraded. Especially, the implementation of civilized urban lifestyle becomes a habit; people’s living standards are getting better.
Taking the advantage of fertile land, in the past year, Hung Yen city conduct the restructure of agriculture with the focus on development of key trees; gradually create the concentrated production zones according to VietGAP with the total of 11 cooperatives.
Conversion of thousands of hectares of corns, beans yielding low income to the production zone of specialty fruit such as: VietGAP longan zone in Hong Nam commune, Tan Hung commune, Phuong Chieu commune; VietGAP orange zone in Quang Chau, Lam Son commune helps to raise productivity and economic efficiency and generates VND 200 million to VND 500 million per ha, which is much higher than 2009.
Up till now, both 10 out of 10 communes of the city are recognized as the new style rural area. The most acknowledgement is that the city has no liability in the capital construction investment.
Mr. Ta Hong Quang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Hung Yen City’s Party Committee said: "In the coming time, Hung Yen city will continue to observe the discipline of the party committees and authorities at all levels; promote the cultural and civilized lifestyle to create a fundamental change in people's awareness; focus on building cultural infrastructure"
Hung Yen City is transforming itself to deserve its position as a political, administrative, economic, cultural and social center of Hung Yen province.
