At the workshop, Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang conveyed two topics, namely the role, functions and rights of the spokespersons to the press and the public; external information service and the foreign press. Thereby, the participants understood such points as: The role of the spokesmen; the relationship with organizations and the press; the nature of work and duties of the spokesmen; criteria and qualifications required of the spokespersons.

At the same time, the delegates were informed of the basic knowledge of external information service and the management of foreign correspondents who is working in the field of information and the press.

Speaking at the training session, Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, Deputy Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, asked the participants to: concentrate on researching and updating information to well perform the functions and duties of the spokesmen; pay attention to dealing with information situations and incidents based on the Party and State's guidelines and policies as well as the actual situation of the departments. The communication agencies in the province should coordinate closely with the related departments to well carry out the dissemination and promotion of images of Hung Yen province
