At the working session

At the working session, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Tuyet, Chairwoman of the Provincial Labor Confederation, reported on trade union activities and the movement of workers and employees in Hung Yen in the first quarter and key directions and tasks in the second quarter of 2020.

In the first quarter, trade unions in the province have granted 2.6 thousand gifts including cash and in-kind gifts to trade union officials and workers in difficult circumstances and policy families. The trade unions at grassroots organize Tet holiday for workers and give them over 81 thousand gifts; mobilize units and businesses to support 67 trips for workers from remote areas to come home to celebrate Tet holiday; support for new construction and repair of 10 houses; support 23 cases suffering from dangerous illnesses and accidents...

To join hands to prevent and combat Covid-19, trade unions at all levels have mobilized units, businesses and members to support with a total value of over VND 3.5 billion, including: Medical masks, cash, rice, dry hand sanitizer; more than 1 thousand trade unions at grassroots collaborate with leaders of agencies, units and enterprises to spray disinfectants at workplaces; 100% of agencies, units and enterprises measure body temperature for officials and employees and use hand sanitizer, complying with the recommendations of the health sector on disease prevention and control.

In the second quarter of 2020, trade unions at all levels actively take in the situation, together with all levels, sectors and localities actively to participate in the prevention of Covid-19; organize activities to welcome party congresses at all levels; organize the contest of good union officials in 2020; deploy the plan to launch the workers' month in 2020; hold the conference of typical example praise in cadres and civil servants in the period of 2015 - 2020.

Speaking at the conclusion of the working session, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu suggested that the trade unions in the province should continue to pay attention to and care for workers' lives, especially female workers and the ones who lose their jobs due to Covid-19; propose to the business leaders the solutions to restore production; implement Workers' Month and Action Month in 2020 on labor safety and hygiene innovatively and flexibly in a new way in accordance with the actual situation ...

Vice Chairman of Vietnam Labor Confederation Ngo Duy Hieu presented gifts to workers of Hung Long Garment II Joint Stock Company

On the same day, the delegation of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor visited and presented 76 gifts to typical workers and the ones in difficult circumstances at Hung Long Garment II Joint Stock Company (Hung Yen city). Each gift is worth from VND 500 thousand to VND 1 million.
