According to the report of the National Election Council, the preparation for the election of deputies to the National Assembly and the People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 period has been focused and urgently carried out nationwide. Up to now, 866 people have been officially listed as eligible to stand for the election to the 15th National Assembly. The candidates for the Provincial People's Council are 6,201 people out of the total number of elected delegates according to regulations of 3,726 people; the total number of candidates for the People's Council at district level is 37,463 people out of the total number of elected delegates according to regulations is 22,953 people; the total number of candidates for the commune-level People's Council is 405,110 people out of the total number of elected delegates according to regulations is 246,510 people. By May 3, the election groups have completed listing the candidates for the 15th National Assembly and the People's Councils at all levels according to the constituency; the candidate's biography is reliably accurate, clear and on schedule. The election information and propaganda have been enhanced in many media such as the web portal of the province and city, newspaper, radio, grassroots’ radio systems, banners, slogans and text messages.

At the conference, representatives of ministries, branches and localities reported on the results of preparations for the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and the People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 period.

Speaking at the conclusion of the conference, Chairman of the National Assembly, Chairman of the National Election Council Vuong Dinh Hue requested all levels, branches and localities to continue to well implement the Politburo's directives and the resolutions of the National Assembly and the National Election Council, the directives of the Prime Minister; take the initiative in formulating an election organization plan suitable to the situation of each locality; continue to review, perfect and rehearse plans for the election, ensure the best conditions for the election to take place safely, in which focusing on back-up human resources for election groups in the epidemic prevention and control, practising under many different scenarios; testing for SARS-COV 2 for peope involved in the election work, especially in high-risk areas; promptly reporting arising problems in terms of personnel, difficulties and obstacles, proactively grasping the situation of voters in the locality, ensuring the highest number of voters' participation; promoting the work of information and propaganda on the election, focusing on the information at the grassroots level; ready for the mobile ballot box to serve the people in case of necessity; the police, military and medical forces need to ensure absolute safety for election day. To urgently allocate funds to localities affected by the Covid-19 epidemic to ensure adequate facilities for election day.
