Under the authorization of the State President, Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee awarded the Second-class Independence Medal to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
In the past 5 years, the patriotic emulation movement has developed steadily on all aspects of the work and production, associated with the requirements of the sector's tasks and successfully contributing to implementing the socio-economic development tasks of the province. The growth rate of agricultural production value in the 2016-2019 period of the province averages 2.86% / year. In 2019, the value obtained on 1ha of cultivation reaches VND 202.5 million. Fruit trees thrive in area, productivity and yield. Breeding continues to develop towards concentrated husbandry; strengthen production linkages, form cooperatives and breeding cooperation groups; develop husbandry in the direction of VietGAP and associated with processing and environmentally friendly. In the period of 2020 - 2025, the agricultural sector of the province sets a target to achieve an average growth rate of 2% - 2.5% / year in agriculture, forestry and fishery production. Internal structure of agricultural production value by 2025 is as follows: Cultivation: 40%, breeding: 57%, services: 3%; the income on 1ha of cultivation: VND 230 million. The area of conversion from low-efficiency crops to plants and aquaculture with higher economic efficiency is over 4,7 thousand ha; to establish 100 new-style cooperatives. The percentage of households using clean water according to the standard is 90%. Per capita income in rural areas reaches VND 60 million or more. 35 - 40% of communes will meet the new rural standards; 10 - 12% of communes will be recognized as the new model rural communes; at least one district-level unit is recognized as a new model countryside.

Speaking at the conference, the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee requested that, in the coming time, the provincial agriculture and rural development sector should strengthen the inspection, detection and timely handle the risks caused by natural disasters, diseases, market fluctuations; continue to accumulate land, organize large-scale commodity production, large sample fields and the concentrated commodity production areas, produce in the direction of biosafety and food safety. To promote the application of technologies and techniques on seeds, cultivation, farming and production processes (Vietgap), develop seedlings with advantages; improve concentrated husbandry far from residential areas; increase the production under the model of cooperatives, raise animals associated with processing and environmentally friendly. To continue to study and advise the provincial People's Committee to promulgate the mechanisms to encourage businesses to invest in agriculture; take advantage of the State's resources, socialized capital and people to invest in and upgrade the agricultural technical infrastructure, dikes and irrigation and the investment projects on the development of cultivation and breeding; strengthen the links in production and associated with consumption; expand the certificate of agricultural production according to VietGAP, VietGAHP, HACCP; successfully implement the OCOOP, in association with the electronic information system for traceability of food, agricultural, forestry and fishery products in the province. To focus on directing and speeding up the implementation of key projects on improving and upgrading the left dike on the Luoc River to ensure the schedule and quality; by the end of 2020, the province will have completed the task of new rural-style areas construction; the communes build the advanced and model rural areas. Starting the spring crop of 2020, with the risks of unpredictable weather events such as drought, severe cold and prolonged cold weather, the agricultural sector of the province should concentrate and mobilize resources at all levels, sectors and localities to ensure sufficient water to serve production and expand the cultivated area. To direct the good care of cattle and poultry to meet the food needs of people during the Lunar New Year 2020.
