Mr. Nguyen Van Nen, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Chief of the Central Office, also joined the delegation.

Mr. Nguyen Van Linh, whose real name is Nguyen Van Cuc, was born on July 1, 1915, in Giai Pham commune, Yen My district, Hung Yen province. He had nearly 70 years working in multiple fields and localities across all three regions of the country. He was always trusted by the Party and assigned multiple duties. No matter where he was and no matter what jobs and positions he took, Mr. Nguyen Van Linh always devoted to the Party and the people, stayed steadfast to the ideal of national independence and socialism; excellently completed tasks and made great contributions to the Party and the revolution.

The Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong offered incense to commemorate the Party General Secretary Nguyen Van Linh, an outstanding student of President Ho Chi Minh, a Party's steadfast and creative leader, a mirror of spirit called “dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility before the Party and the people”.

The Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong asked about health situation and life of the first lady Ngo Thi Hue and her family. He was glad to see Mrs. Ngo Thi Hue stay healthy at the age of 102. On the occasion of Lunar New Year, the Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong wished Mrs. Ngo Thi Hue and her family a new year full of health and prosperity.

In the cozy atmosphere, Mrs. Ngo Thi Hue reviewed the unforgettable memories during her joining the revolution activities, thanked the Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong and wished him good health, happiness and to fully accomplish the duties that the Party and State entrust.
