Our Party was born in the spring of the country with full of happiness and aspirations. Naturally, every year, on the occasion of Tet holiday and spring, Vietnamese people jubilantly welcome the New Year and celebrate the anniversary of the honorable Party's establishment (February 3, 1930) that is imprinted into hearts of millions of Vietnamese people....

Perhaps there is no nation in the world where it comes to the Party, people have as much respect, pride and love as the Vietnamese. The two words "Our Party" have been sacred, deeply embedded in the minds of Vietnamese generations over the past 89 years. It is vital because the Party is established by President Ho Chi Minh - the genius leader Vietnamese nation. The Party’s foundation was a great historical event and an important turning point in the history of Vietnam's revolution, marking a brilliant milestone on the road of construction and development of our country. For the past 89 years, the Party has been striving constantly, always deserving to be “a servant, a loyal leader of the people", " morality and civilization”, “ union, independence, peace and fullness”.

Under the leadership of the Party, over eighty-nine springs, our people have won multiple great and historical achievements. It was the victory of resistance wars for national independence and great achievements in the cause of innovation, making the Party and the nation's prestige increase in the international arena. Because of such great achievements, our Party is the spring of the country and the Vietnamese people.

It is worth mentioning that, while affirming great achievements of historical significance of the country, our Party still warns of the existence of a risk of lagging far behind in economy compared to other countries in the region and the world and limitations in Party’s building work. Therefore, in the period of 2016-2020, one of the key tasks the Party focuses is: Strengthening the building and correcting the Party; curbing the degradation of political ideology, morality, and lifestyle and signs of “self-evolution” and “self-transformation” within the Party; focusing on building a contingent of cadres, especially strategic one, who is capable, qualified and prestigious.

2018 closed with comprehensive achievements in all walks of life, economy, society, external relations, and national security, especially in building and correcting the Party. In particular, the year of 2018 has become a special milestone in economy. The economy saw a growth of 7.08%, the highest level in the past 10 years, surpassing all the most optimistic forecasts and creating momentum for almost other sectors to advance. While there are still many difficulties and challenges, the results of the efforts in the past year which reflected the Party's ingenious leadership have been an important premise for the breakthrough in 2019 and the following years.

In particular, 2018 continues to mark an important breakthrough in the construction of the Party, in the fight against corruption to tighten discipline in the Party, and in the state apparatus. The fight against corruption has achieved great successes, creating a strong transition. From the overall perspective, with the constant motto: "Catch the mouse but don’t break the bottle", our Party has taken flexible and comprehensive steps and plans to gradually solve the sore problem called corruption. No ban zone, no exceptions. Violated officials and high profile officials are continuously "brought to light" that ensures the punishment of right people and right responsibility showing the Party's and the State's determination.

In addition to punishment of officials found in violation, the “hedging of the holes” in cadre work is also well implemented by the Party. The specific regulations and guidelines of the Party on asset declaration, the process of appointment, the direction of the Secretariat on banning the use of holidays, birthdays, seminars to earn benefit are highly appreciated. It can be affirmed that the crucial achievements in the construction of the Party, anti-corruption have redeemed people's confidence and expectations for the Party.

The history and practice of more than 30 years of innovation have affirmed the Party's strength in close association with the people. Therefore, the Party constantly reinforces, improves and corrects itself to strengthen the people's beliefs with the Party. The Party’s directions and People heart closely intertwines, creating a beautiful spring full of faith and ideals, becoming a sharp weapon against all difficulties and challenges. Therefore, there were many songs and poems about the Party's merits in which they call the Party the country's spring. Because, spring is considered the most beautiful in four seasons which is a symbol of life and hope. Since 1930, the Party has brought the people 89 springs full of aspirations.

On celebrating the foundation of the Party and welcoming the spring, we are again touched to hear the songs that are immortal with time "The Party has given us a spring of desires ...” The Party is my life ... “ Singing creates a beautiful spring, and empowers us to successfully implement the Resolution of the 12th Party Congress.

This spring, our Party is one year older and prepares for new opportunities and victories ahead. We firmly believe that, with the leadership of the Party, the renewal career will continue to reap more great achievements.
