At the conference, delegates heard the general report on Vietnam's international integration in the 2014-2019 period in such areas as: Politics, national defense and security; economy; culture, science, education and other fields. Accordingly, the country has attained many achievements and confidence to advance to international integration, which is specified in the Politburo’s Resolution No. 22-NQ / TW dated 10/4/2013 with the content of actively and comprehensively integrate on 3 major areas including: Politics,  national defense and security; economy and culture, society, science, technology, education and training. The international integration has made an important contribution to the country's great socio-economic achievements over the past 5 years. We have maintained a peaceful environment, stabilized socio-politics, actively integrated into the world and attracted more external resources along with the domestic ones to create a strong national development motivation and attain a lot of great achievements.

We have expanded our relationships, improved our partnerships with many countries and successfully organized regional and global events. These are the proofs that Vietnam is a friend and a trusted partner of the international community. Vietnam's position in the international arena is constantly improving. Our country is increasingly integrating deeply with the world and actively participating in the common work of the world and the region, especially the peace preservation, stability and mutual development. To enhance the international integration, proactive, creative and effective for the rapid and sustainable development, it is necessary to analyze and forecast the international and domestic situation, especially the opportunities, advantages, difficulties and challenges from now until 2020 and in the coming years, in which the special attention is paid to the rapid progress of the industrial revolution 4.0. We are determined to carry out the measures to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity, struggle with all the anti-breaking and divisive tactics of the enemy; find out more effective and new ways and methods to meet the immediate, medium and long-term requirements and tasks of international integration...
