The working session drew the attendance of Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Deputy Party Secretary, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee; Mr. Bui The Cu, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee and leaders of a number of related departments and branches.

According to the plan, the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway has a total length of 392 km and covers a land area of ​​more than 1,650 ha, with an investment capital of VND 100 trillion. It will go through 8 provinces and cities as follows: Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc, Hanoi, Hung Yen, Hai Duong and Hai Phong. It is expected to shorten the travel time from Lao Cai to Hai Phong from 5.5 hours by road to 3.5 hours by rail.

In Hung Yen, the railway will go through Van Lam district and My Hao town; with a length of 19,4 km. The starting point is Km280 + 000 in Lac Dao commune and the ending point is Km299 + 400 in Hoa Phong commune, My Hao town. It is supposed to have 2 stations on the route through Hung Yen province.

It is also necessary to study the location of an intermediate station in Lac Dao commune, Van Lam district and a station to yield and avoid means of transport in Hoa Phong commune, My Hao town linking to Cam Giang district, Hai Duong province, which is convenient for connecting with other provincial transport routes.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Ngoc Dong affirmed that this is a strategic route, which is preferentially built to create a breakthrough in the socio-economic development in the region. He suggested the consulting unit and related units to continue researching, adjusting and selecting the station's location as proposed by Hung Yen province to ensure the highest efficiency.
