On the afternoon of November 28th, at the Provincial Party Committee Headquarters, the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee and the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Energy and Industry Group held a conference to sign a cooperation agreement for development.

Comrades Nguyen Huu Nghia, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; and Le Manh Hung, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Members of the Vietnam National Energy and Industry Group, co-chaired the conference.

Also attending from Hung Yen province were Comrade Tran Quoc Toan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee; and leaders of provincial departments and agencies.

Attending the conference on behalf of the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Energy and Industry Group were Comrade Le Ngoc Son, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Director of the Group; and members of the Board of Directors.

Speaking at the conference, the Provincial Party Secretary congratulated the Vietnam National Energy and Industry Group on its achievements in recent years and its significant contributions to the national economy; he also highly appreciated the group's member units for their strong investment and effective implementation of projects in the former Thai Binh province and the merged Hung Yen province. The Provincial Party Secretary provided an overview of the conditions, potential, and strengths of Hung Yen province for the Group to invest in areas where it has advantages; and outlined the goals and solutions for Hung Yen province to realize its objective of soon becoming a centrally-governed city and a rapidly, strongly, and sustainably developing locality of the country. The Provincial Party Secretary affirmed that Hung Yen province will support and work alongside the Group and its member units to report to competent authorities to resolve difficulties and obstacles in investment, production, and business, and create favorable conditions for the Group and its member units in carrying out their work according to the framework cooperation agreement.

Comrade Le Manh Hung, Chairman of the Board of Members of the Vietnam National Energy and Industry Corporation, delivered a speech at the conference.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Le Manh Hung, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of Members of the Vietnam National Energy and Industry Group, emphasized that this cooperation agreement is an extension and elevation of the strategy for national benefit, and also represents a concrete step in realizing the major orientations of the Party and State on regional linkages, green economic development, energy transition, innovation, and international integration. In the coming period, with potential and strategic goals, in addition to existing projects, the two sides will continue to coordinate the implementation of key activities to support the development of local value chains and businesses. The Chairman of the Board of Members of the Vietnam National Energy and Industry Group expressed confidence that, with high political determination and flexible coordination mechanisms from the highest level to specialized agencies, the cooperative relationship between the Vietnam National Energy and Industry Group and Hung Yen province will be substantive, effective, and bring practical and sustainable values.

At the conference, delegates exchanged experiences, discussed specific issues, and agreed to sign a framework memorandum of cooperation for development. The cooperation includes: The Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee and the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Industry and Energy Group will lead and direct subordinate Party committees and organizations to seriously and effectively implement the Regulations on Coordination of Work between the Party committees of economic groups, corporations, and state-owned commercial banks with local Party committees, in accordance with Decision No. 61-QD/TW dated March 8, 2022, of the Central Party Secretariat and other relevant Party regulations; Coordinate on personnel matters, Party members, Party organization building, commendation and disciplinary actions for member units of the Group in the province according to Party regulations; Coordinate on inspection and supervision of Party organizations and Party members of member units of the Group in the province; Coordinate in disseminating, explaining, and implementing resolutions, conclusions, directives, policies, and regulations of the Central Committee, the Provincial Party Committee, and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; Coordinate with the leadership in developing the Group's business and investment activities, as well as those of its member units, within the province, and in promoting the socio-economic development of the locality.
