Every year he imports from 10 to 30 ornamental trees, the lowest trees costing tens of millions of dong such as: Japanese tea, Japanese azalea, high value trees are pine lahan or black pine costing up to tens of billions of dong. Currently, Mr. Tien's family has about 3,000 square meters of land for growing ornamental plants in Phung Cong commune. After 12 years of development, up to now, his family's mushroom growing area has expanded to more than 1 hectare (in Bac Giang province). Each year, Mr. Tu's edible mushroom farm produces and supplies to the market. market over 10 tons of oyster mushrooms.
Since 2015, Mr. Tu has continued to explore and research cordyceps, a medicinal mushroom that is considered rare but difficult to grow. With the knowledge learned from books and newspapers, along with learning from practical models, Mr. Tu has grasped the technological process from seed production, farming to processing of cordyceps. Currently, he has more than 2,000 square meters specializing in the production of medicinal mushrooms such as Cordyceps sinensis and Ganoderma lucidum. On average each year, he harvests 350kg of cordyceps and 2.5 tons of dried lingzhi mushrooms.
Along with investing in modern mushroom growing technology, Mr. Tu focuses on investing in machinery and equipment to produce and process mushroom products. After being harvested, medicinal mushrooms are processed into many different products. Among them, there are 4 products that have been certified with 3-star OCOP: Tea to nourish the mind and calm the mind; Ganoderma tea; Cao Lingzhi; Cordyceps tea. His cordyceps product set achieved 4-star OCOP certification.
With the determination to expand the market, in 2018, Mr. Tu linked up with a number of farming households to establish the Viet Tu Production and Trade Investment Cooperative to develop clean mushrooms. The high-tech mushroom growing model brings Mr. Tu a revenue of 4.5 - 5 billion VND/year, excluding expenses and a profit of over 1 billion VND/year.
