Speaking at the opening of the conference, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Do Tien Sy emphasized that the 26th Provincial Executive Party Committee conference has a particularly important meaning of assessing the situation, results of the implementation of objectives and the mission of socio-economic development in the first 6 months and giving orientation policies of other important contents.

The Provincial Party Committee Secretary asked the delegates to focus on discussion and analysis to clarify the achieved results; propose solutions to promote the implementation of socio-economic development objectives and tasks in the last months of 2019, especially the breakthrough contents identified by the conference of the Provincial Executive Party Committee - Session XVIII. At the same time, the delegates at the conference should raise their sense of responsibility and develop their intellect to actively contribute to the socio-economic reports and the content of construction planning submitted at conference.

According to the report on the implementation of the socio-economic development plan for the first 6 months and the main tasks and solutions in the last 6 months of 2019 presented by Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee at the conference, gross domestic product (GRDP) increased by 9.65% (the year plan: 8.3%).

Total development investment capital reached VND 15,433 billion; exports reached USD 2,320 million and imports reached USD 2,450. Budget revenue was VND 6,730 billion, reached 52.3% of the plan, of which domestic revenue was VND 4,880 billion; budget spending is  VND 4,371 billion.

Up to now, the province has 128 out of 145 communes recognized to meet the new style rural standards, reaching over 88%; on average, the province satisfies 18.8 criteria per commune; There are 4 more national standard schools. The province has created jobs for nearly 12 thousand workers; and recruited  nearly 26 thousand people for vocational training; The percentage of rural people using clean water is 73%. Administrative reforms are paid attention at all levels and sectors.

Regarding the tasks of the last 6 months of the year, the province set out some key tasks and solutions as follows: Implementing effectively the crop production in 2019; strengthening trade promotion, seeking markets, encouraging businesses and farm owners to join in cooperation of production, processing and consumption of products; speeding up the construction of new rural areas, striving 100% of communes to reach new style rural standards, with 3 more districts and cities recognized; synchronously deploy solutions to attract investment and business development; focusing on solving difficulties for businesses and projects currently running into operation; effectively implementing the project of Provincial support Industry Development and projects of industry and trade promotion; implementing the planning of Hung Yen province in the period of 2021 – 2030.

At the same time, effectively implementing the Plan 93a of the Provincial People's Committee on clearance of illegal construction works on agricultural land which violate the protection corridors of traffic and irrigation works and carry our illegal sand exploitation; focusing on directing the prevention and control of epidemics; well performing the health care for the people; well organizing cultural, art and sport activities; well implementing policies for people with meritorious services…

At the conference, Mr. Bui The Cu, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented the reports: Adjusting the general planning of Hung Yen city; construction planning of Kim Dong district; zoning plan for construction of two North-South economic axes in Van Lam district and My Hao town; planning of construction along the route connecting Hanoi city and Hung Yen province.

Under the direction of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phong, delegates focused on discussing the results achieved in the implementation of socio-economic development in the first 6 months of the year in order to successfully achieve the objectives of the last 6 months of the year as well as the whole year of 2019. At the same time, delegates propose some issues to solve difficulties and obstacles that are being implemented by localities and units.

The conference approved the proposal on the establishment of Sub-committees of the 19th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the conference, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Do Tien Sy affirmed that the results achieved in the first 6 months are the solidarity and high unity in the leadership and executive work of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and Provincial People's Committee as well as the efforts of all levels and sectors in implementation. In addition to the achieved results, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also pointed out the limitation, and also noted some key tasks and solutions to promote development of industry, service, agriculture and foster state management in the fields of culture, society, defense and security.
