According to the report of the provincial Steering Committee, anti-epidemic activities of the province are being paid special attention by all levels and localities such as establishing medical control points to people in and out the residential areas; timely review and quarantine people returning from epidemic areas.
By this time, the province has checked 1,707 people returning from Bach Mai Hospital. Supervision, quarantine and disinfectant spray at locations suspected of disease, offices, markets, and supermarkets are strictly carried out.
Regarding the 219th case (having the address in Chi Trung village, Tan Quang commune, Van Lam district), right after the Ministry of Health announced the positive result for SARS-CoV-2, Tan Quang commune and Van Lam district promptly implemented plans, set up quarantine areas for Covid-19 prevent and control in Chi Trung village as prescribed; established epidemic control points, block the village as “nobody in, nobody out”; applied disinfectant spray to the whole village; and at the same time, have been reviewing and quarantining related cases (F1, F2) to 219th case at health facilities and quarantine facilities in the area. Currently, the health sector has taken samples for these cases.

In conclusion, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phong requested that all levels, sectors and localities should highly focus on implementing epidemic prevention and control measures in a timely, strict and tense manner; promote propaganda in order that all levels, sectors, businesses, workers and each citizen strictly implement the Prime Minister's Directive and the Chairman's Directive on social quarantine and epidemic prevention control measures; inform that each citizen is a soldier on the front of epidemic prevention and control; effectively and strictly implement each disease control point; supermarkets, trade centers, grocery stores, markets only open for selling essential goods.
The localities must continue to review and make a list of cases returning from Bach Mai Hospital as of March 13 for timely quarantine; ensure good order and security, especially in quarantine areas that have people positive for SARS-CoV-2.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the People's Committee of Van Lam district to coordinate with the concerned agencies to carry out the plans to stop the epidemic from spreading to ensure social security, health and security for people in the quarantine areas of Chi Trung village; at the same time, he called people in the province to support Chi Trung village with the spirit of solidarity, unity and sharing.
