Taking advantage of the Red River running through the area, in 2020, Mr. Nguyen Van Dinh in Duc Hop commune (Kim Dong) boldly invested more than 1 billion VND to build 21 fish cages on the river. On average a year, his family sells over 30 tons of commercial fish of all kinds such as carp, tilapia, black carp, bamboo shoots... minus expenses to earn a profit of 300 - 500 million VND. Mr. Dinh said: Raising fish in cages on the river brings high economic efficiency compared to farming in traditional ponds. To ensure safety and promote efficiency, right from the time of designing the cage, I chose sturdy frame and mesh materials; Choose a convenient location to place the cage; Only import healthy fingerlings with clear origin and ensure disease safety; Fish food purchased from reputable companies; Periodically prevent fish diseases, especially fungal diseases; Regularly monitor the weather and tides to adjust care regimen. Each type of fish is raised separately in each cage and has a different care regime. This year, the weather has changed unusually, the water level of the Red River is lower than last year, making it difficult for aquaculture production activities in cages and rafts on the river, but due to the application of correct care techniques, regularly following Following and grasping instructions from the professional industry, up to this point, my family's fish herd has developed well.

 

Hung Yen province has two large rivers, the Red River and the Luoc River, flowing through 6 districts and cities with a length of 90 km, which is a great potential in terms of water surface area for aquaculture development. Taking advantage of the water surface area, in 2019, the province's agricultural sector built a project to develop cage fish farming with the goal of helping farmers access and apply science and technology in aquaculture with the goal of increasing productivity. productivity, quality and food safety assurance. Households participating in the project will be directly supervised and guided by technical staff on farming techniques; Methods of disease prevention and treatment for aquatic products; Monitor the growth and development of fish stocks to evaluate the effectiveness of the project. To date, the whole province has developed about 500 fish cages on the river, concentrated in Hung Yen city and 2 districts Kim Dong and Phu Cu.
