Strengthening protection of the Party's ideological foundation and combating wrong, hostile viewpoints in cyberspace
On the morning of November 21st, the Nguyen Van Linh Political School organized a provincial-level scientific conference on the theme "Protecting the Party's ideological foundation and combating false and hostile viewpoints on the internet: From the practical experience of Hung Yen province." Ms. Quach Thi Huong, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Principal of the Nguyen Van Linh Political School, chaired the conference.

The introductory remarks at the seminar emphasized: In recent times, hostile forces, reactionary elements, and political opportunists have been exploiting cyberspace to carry out activities against the Party and the State, deny revolutionary achievements, distort Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought, and sow discord within the national unity. Given this situation, proactively protecting the Party's ideological foundation and resolutely and persistently fighting to thwart all conspiracies and activities in cyberspace is a strategic, urgent, fundamental, and long-term task for the entire Party and the entire nation. Based on that practical need, the scientific conference was organized to focus on clarifying theoretical and practical issues regarding the protection of the Party's ideological foundation in cyberspace; assessing the current situation, sharing experiences, and proposing effective and feasible solutions, especially in the specific context of Hung Yen province.
The workshop received 27 papers from various units and localities; of which 9 were presented directly at the workshop with contents such as: Advisory work and coordination of propaganda, orientation of tasks to protect the ideological foundation of the Party, and combating false and hostile viewpoints in Hung Yen province; The tasks include detecting and refuting false and hostile viewpoints and harmful information disseminated through the internet and social media; resolving complex issues in the religious field; and disseminating information and mobilizing all segments of the population to participate in the fight against false and hostile viewpoints in cyberspace in the coastal border region…

In his concluding remarks at the workshop, Comrade Nguyen Van Linh, Principal of the Political School, respectfully acknowledged the opinions and contributions of the delegates. He also emphasized that the workshop had accurately assessed the current situation, clearly identifying the advantages, difficulties, challenges, and issues arising from the practical experience of Hung Yen province; clarifying the responsibilities of Party committees, government agencies, the Fatherland Front, political and social organizations, and individual cadres and Party members. The proposed system of comprehensive, synchronized, and highly feasible solutions, especially those related to leadership and guidance; coordination mechanisms; capacity building for cadres; and the application of science and technology in combating and refuting misinformation, significantly contributes to improving the quality of ideological work within the provincial Party committee.
