On July 29, the provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 1689/QD-UBND on recognizing that Hưng Yên egg litchi tree which is grown and cared for at Mr. Nguyễn Văn Vì's household in Ba Động village, Phan Sào Nam commune (Phù Cừ district) is the ancestor litchi tree of Hưng Yên egg litchi. The Provincial People's Committee assigns the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the People's Committee of Phù Cừ District and the related departments, agencies and units to apply measures to store and preserve the ancestor litchi tree which has been recognized under the decision.
