Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and delegates attended the ceremony to open Hung Ha bridge and the road connecting Hanoi - Hai Phong and Cau Gie - Ninh Binh expressway

At Hung Yen province side, the ceremony saw the attendance of Mr. Do Tien Sy, Member of the Party Central Committee, Provincial Party Secretary, Head of the Provincial Delegation of the National Assembly; Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Deputy Party Secretary, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Provincial Standing Committee, and local people.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phong said that the project of the road connecting two highways is 47.7 km long, including 3 components namely, the part running through Hung Yen province is 24.2 km long; that running through Ha Nam province is 16.9 km long; the project of Hung Ha bridge crossing Red river and the leading road connecting Hung Yen province and Ha Nam province has the length of 7.31 km. The road is 21.5 m wide and the road base is 22.5 m wide. The total investment is over VND 2,000 billion, which is paid in advance by two provinces and the constructors. Hung Ha bridge includes 41 spans with total width of 22.5 m and the total investment of VND 2,871.5 billion financed from loans from Korea government and reciprocal capital of Vietnam government.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc emphasized that the use of Hung Ha bridge and the road connecting Hanoi - Hai Phong and Cau Gie - Ninh Binh expressway will exploit the infrastructure works of Hung Yen province, Ha Nam province and the northern economic region more efficiently; contributing to shortening the itinerary and expenses for vehicles transporting from the East Northern provinces to the central and southern regions and vice versa. 

The Prime Minister highly appreciated the investor, contractors and related units for their efforts to complete the project 6 months earlier than planned; at the same time, praised thousands of households living in the project area for their consensus and moving to resettlement area to have space for construction sites. 

In the coming time, he requested the People's Committees of Hung Yen and Ha Nam provinces, the Ministry of Transport and the Thang Long Project Management Board to strictly abide by the State's regulations on the management of exploitation and maintenance, ensure the traffic safety and environmental sanitation, complete auxiliary works, operate the works safely, smoothly and effectively. 

he Prime Minister also asked the Ministry of Transport to continue researching and seeking capital for the investment in phase 2, completing the route in the shortest time, exploiting the whole project efficiently. To coordinate with two localities to plug the building line double the current section to build a highway connecting Hanoi - Hai Phong and Cau Gie - Ninh Binh expressway with a better development strategy view. Hung Yen and Ha Nam provinces control and ensure the traffic safety on the route, promote the socio-economic development on both sides of the route towards industry and urban areas to create new resilience for both Hung Yen and Ha Nam; create favorable conditions for people who give land for the project construction to have a stable and better life.

On the same day, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, the delegation and leaders of Hung Yen province offered incenses at the commemorative house of Ms. Hoang Thi Loan, mother of late President Ho Chi Minh in Van Noi village, Hong Tien commune (Khoai Chau district) and laid a wreath at the statue of late Party General Secretary Nguyen Van Linh in Hung Yen city.

Then, at the Provincial Party Committee’s Headquarters, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and the delegation were received by and worked with Mr. Do Tien Sy, Member of the Party Central Committee, Provincial Party Secretary, Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly; Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Deputy Party Secretary, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Provincial Standing Committee. 

At the working session, Provincial Party Secretary Do Tien Sy gave a brief report to the Prime Minister and the delegation on the province's socio-economic development achievements in 2018. In 2018, the Party Committee, authorities and people in the province have gained many outstanding achievements in socio-economic field, with many targets exceeding the plan and higher than the average of the country. 

In 2018, Hung Yen's economy grew by 9.64% and it is the second year that the province has implemented self-balancing budget revenues and expenditures, with the total budget revenue of the province of over VND 13 trillion, seeing an increase as compared to the revenues allocated by the central. To implement breakthroughs in investment attraction, the province has focused on leading and directing the improvement of investment and business environment, raising the number of enterprises with nearly 10,000 ones and focusing on performing the development planning of industrial parks and industrial clusters. Up to now, Hung Yen has nearly 81% of communes and 1 district meeting new rural standards. The socio-cultural sectors have made progress, political security, social order and safety have been maintained, facilitating the investment attraction and socio-economic development. The province asked the Prime Minister to add Ly Thuong Kiet service and urban industrial zone​​ (Yen My district) covering 3000 ha into the national industrial park planning to 2020.

On behalf of the Party Committee, authorities and people in the province, Provincial Party Secretary Do Tien Sy promised that Hung Yen would continue to unite and strive to achieve well the socio-economic development targets.

Speaking at the working session, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc praised the efforts and achievements in the socio-economic development of Hung Yen's Party Committee, authorities and people in the past time and at the same time, affirmed that, this is initial result, Hung Yen needs to try more and exploit the potentials of the land well-known for the old saying "The most important area is the Imperial capital city (Thang Long), the second is Hien Town". 

 He agreed with the locality’s proposal to add the Ly Thuong Kiet service and urban industrial zone (Yen My) to the national industrial zone planning and expected Hung Yen to continue to unite, strive and determine to bring the province to industrialization and modernization, worthy of the homeland tradition, contributing to the overall development of the country.
