According to a report of the Provincial Standing Party Committee, over the past time, the province has implemented the program of information technology application in the activities of the provincial Party agencies during the period of 2015 - 2020 with the total investment of over VND 26 billion. Up to now, the program has completed more than 80%.

The program focuses on investing in information technology infrastructure at the shared data center of the Provincial Party Committee; building software application; supplementing additional information technology equipment for agencies under the Provincial Party Committee, and party committee of districts, communes, towns, and city throughout the province.

Along with that, the province promotes the implementation of e-government with specific tasks such as: Building and updating the architecture of the provincial electronic government; building integrated axis to share data within the province; building inter-provincial communication axis; building a specialized internal data transmission network of the province; building a public electronic service portal and the electronic one stop of the province ...

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee made a proposal to the Ministry of Information and Communications to support the province in developing smart urban construction platform; digital transformation strategy, digital economic development; to direct telecommunication businesses to strongly develop local telecommunications infrastructure to meet development requirements in the new period; to pay attention to human resource training in information technology; to expand the scope of online administrative procedures at level 3 and level 4; to speed up the construction of national and specialized databases; to study and promulgate regulations on digital documents; to pay attention to directing press agencies to propagate about all aspects of life and socio-economic development of the province ...

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Minister of Information and Communications hoped that in the coming time, the province would continue to pay attention to directing information and communication activities; strengthening the application of information technology in all fields; accelerating the digital transformation in sectors and levels; making smart urban plans; allocating funds for investment in information technology infrastructure; adopting policies to support businesses investing and trading in digital technology; striving that every resident has a smartphone, every household has an fiber-optic cable; strengthening propaganda on new media platforms such as electronic newspapers and social networks ...

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Do Tien Sy informed some advantages and potentials of the province as well as  socio-economic development results; at the same time, emphasized that: The province always considered IT development as the major task. In the coming time, the province would boost up the e-government establishment, upgrade the telecommunication quality, create favorable conditions for communication and telecommunication businesses to operate effectively in the province.
