The working session also witnessed the attendance of  Mr. Do Tien Sy, Member of the Party Central Committee, Provincial Party Secretary, Head of the provincial delegation of National Assembly; Lieutenant General Vu Hai San, Member of the Party Central Committee, Commander of Military Region 3; Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Deputy Party Secretary, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee; Major General Nguyen Manh Hung, Political Commissar of the Military Zone 3 and members of the Provincial Standing Committee who received and worked with the delegation.

The Minister of National Defense and the delegation paid a working visit to the Headquarters of the Provincial Military Command. Colonel Nguyen Chi Cong, member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, reported the delegation on the results of the implementation of local military and defense tasks of the province in 2017. In 2017, the provincial armed force strictly maintained its combat readiness; closely coordinated with the Provincial Police in firmly grasping the situation, maintaining political security and social order and safety; organized training courses according to the regulations; advised the provincial People's Committee to successfully organize the rehearsal of the provincial defense area in 2017; and consulted with the provincial People's Committee to promulgate the project on the construction of defensive works of the province in the period of 2017-2020 with a vision to 2035. The military recruitment was implemented effectively, ensuring the target and quality ... Party activities and political work achieved a lot of positive results. In 2017, the Provincial Military Command was awarded the excellent emulation flag by the Ministry of National Defense. 

In 2018, the Provincial Military Command continues to maintain the strict combat readiness in accordance with the regulations; advise the provincial People's Committee on building works in the defense area; well implement training tasks in 2018; effectively organize the movement of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thoughts, morals and style in association with the implementation of the campaign entitled "Promoting traditions, devoting talents and worthy of Ho Chi Minh's soldiers". 

Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Do Tien Sy reported the situation and results of the socio-economic development in 2017 with the Minister and delegation. In 2017, the socio-economic situation of the province achieved quite comprehensive results. Economic growth rate (GRDP) exceeded the plan and increased by 8.45%; budget revenues in the province reached over 12 trillion VND, up 150 times as compared with those in 1997. It was the first year the province has implemented self-balance of the budget revenues and expenditures and surpassed the estimates. 60% of communes of the province have met new rural area standards. The socio-cultural fields have made great progress. The Party and political system building has been improved. The task of ensuring national defense and security has always been focused on. 

Provincial Party Secretary Do Tien Sy expected in the coming time, the province would continue to receive the attention of the Ministry of National Defense in the development process. 

At the meeting, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phong hoped that the Ministry of National Defense would continue to pay attention to the vocational training and transnational education for soldiers before their demobilization; allocate funds for the construction of works in the provincial defense area; implement effectively the construction and repair of houses for policy beneficiaries ...

At the working session, the delegation received and responded according to its competence the petitions and proposals of the province on the construction of works in the defense area; the vocational training for demobilized soldiers and land management and planning used for defense purposes. 

On the conclusion of the meeting, Minister of National Defense Ngo Xuan Lich praised the achievements of the military and police forces in the task of ensuring national defense and security in the area and contributing to the socio-economic development. 

He requested that in the coming time, the military and police forces continued to closely coordinate and maintain political security, social order and safety according to their functions and tasks. The Provincial Military Command should focus on building a clean and strong Party organization associated with the construction of green, clean and beautiful office and lashkar; educating the political ideals for officials and soldiers; building up the orderly unit; improving the quality of training of militia and self-defense force and reserve force and carrying out public relations and the army rear policy ... 

Then, Minister of National Defense Ngo Xuan Lich and his delegation came to pay tribute to the Monument of General Secretary Nguyen Van Linh and planted memorial trees in the ground of the Statue in Hung Yen city.

In the working visit at the Provincial Party Committee, Minister of National Defense Ngo Xuan Lich acknowledged and congratulated the achievements of Hung Yen Party Committee, Government and people in 2017. At the same time, he expected in the coming time, the Provincial Party Committee, the provincial People's Council and the provincial People's Committee continued to give more leadership and direction to make the province more and more develop. 

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, the provincial People's Council and the provincial People's Committee, Provincial Party Secretary Do Tien Sy would like to thank and receive the ideas of the Minister of National Defense and pledge together with the Executive Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to unify, lead and direct the successful implementation of the resolutions of the Party Congress at all levels and build Hung Yen province increasingly rich and strong.
