On January 23, inspection teams from the Provincial Election Committee conducted inspections of election preparations for the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term in communes across the province.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lai Van Hoan, member of the Provincial Election Committee and Head of Inspection Team No. 9, inspected election preparations in Nam Thai Ninh, Le Loi, and Tra Giang communes.

According to reports from the Steering Committees and Election Committees of the communes, election preparations for the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term have been implemented on schedule and in accordance with required content. The steps for nominating candidates for commune-level People's Council for the 2026-2031 term were completed in compliance with the prescribed number, structure, and composition. The nomination process at the hamlet level was carried out on schedule and received strong consensus from voters. The communes had developed security and public order plans as well as healthcare arrangements for before, during, and after election day, and had reviewed and basically prepared the facilities and equipment needed for the election.

In his remarks at the inspection, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and commended the Party committees and authorities of the communes for their timely and effective implementation of election work in accordance with directives from the central and provincial levels. He requested that localities continue to closely follow the central and provincial directives and guidance, properly prepare voter lists and post them in accordance with regulations, fully implement all steps of the electoral process, strengthen timely information exchange to resolve difficulties and obstacles in task implementation, intensify public communication efforts, and ensure political security and social order.

Inspection Team No. 7 of the Provincial Election Committee also conducted inspection and supervision of election preparations for the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term in Nam Thuy Anh commune.

On the morning of January 23, Inspection Team No. 7 of the Provincial Election Committee inspected and supervised election preparations for the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term in Nam Thuy Anh commune.

Nam Thuy Anh commune had implemented election preparations on schedule and in accordance with proper procedures. The consultative conferences and candidate nomination process for the commune-level People's Council were conducted seriously and lawfully, ensuring the required structure and composition, with 27 candidates nominated for the commune People's Council. All hamlets nominated the required number of candidates as allocated. The commune had established 6 Election Boards and 18 Polling Groups, with a total of 208 members. Public communication and security plans were developed and deployed.

After inspecting election preparations at Hamlet 1 Phong Lam and Hau Tru hamlet, the Inspection Team acknowledged and highly commended the proactive and serious approach of the Nam Thuy Anh Commune Election Committee in carrying out its duties. The team also requested that the locality continue to carefully review voter lists, especially given the large population resulting from the administrative unit consolidation, receive candidate dossiers within the prescribed deadline, and ensure that the elections for the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term are conducted successfully and in full compliance with the law.
