Payment of monthly preferential benefits to people with meritorious services to the revolution in Hong Nam commune (Hung Yen city)
In December 1970, listening to the sacred call of the Fatherland, Mr. Hoang Hoa De in Minh Tan commune (Phu Cu) volunteered to join the army, participating in the fight against the US, liberating the South, unifying the country and then joining the army. Participate in international missions in Cambodia. In 1981, he was injured while on duty with a disability rate of 91%. Wounded soldier Hoang Hoa De said: Returning from the war, my health decreased a lot. Now that I'm old, I have many other diseases so I often have to go to the hospital. Nearly 2 million VND in preferential allowances for people with meritorious services to the revolution are increased each month, helping me have more funds to cover my daily life and take better care of my health.Along with that, I also regularly receive attention from the Party, the State, and the province with compassionate policies that have partly compensated for the pain left by the war.
Recently, Ms. Pham Thi Thuy, daughter of Vietnamese heroic mother Pham Thi Dam in Hien Nam ward (Hung Yen city), received a higher preferential allowance for people with meritorious services than in previous months.Doctor Thuy said: My mother has 2 children who are martyrs. Currently, both the preferential allowances for Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and those who serve Heroic Vietnamese Mothers living at home have been increased. After the subsidy level was increased, the total amount increased by over 2 million VND. This is a meaningful amount of money that contributes to improving life and is also a source of spiritual encouragement for my mother to have better health and live a long life with her children and grandchildren.
Over the past years, the Party, State, governments at all levels and our People have always determined that taking care of the families of war invalids, martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution is a responsibility, affection and honor to show compassion. Deep gratitude to those who have made contributions to the cause of national liberation, construction and defense of the Fatherland. On July 21, 2023, the Government issued Decree No. 55/2023/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 75/2021/ND-CP, dated July 24, 2021 of the Government regulates the levels of benefits, allowances and preferential regimes for people with meritorious services to the revolution (Decree No. 55). Accordingly, the standard preferential allowance for people with meritorious services to the revolution was adjusted to increase from 1,624,000 VND to 2,055,000 VND. The increased preferential regime for people with meritorious services associated with ensuring fairness and social consensus has contributed to compensating for the losses and disadvantages of people with meritorious services and their families who have contributed to the revolution. The standard level of preferential benefits serves as the basis for calculating the level of benefits, allowances and preferential regimes for people with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of people with meritorious services to the revolution. Decree No. 55 takes effect from September 5, 2023.Therefore, in the preferential subsidy payment period of September 2023, people with meritorious services and relatives of people with meritorious services to the revolution will also receive back pay the increased amount of money for July and August 2023.
Currently, the whole province has nearly 20 thousand people receiving preferential benefits for meritorious people monthly, with a total payment of over 41 billion VND/month. After raising the subsidy standard, the total payment amount increased to over 51.7 billion VND.
In addition to properly, fully and promptly implementing the regimes and policies of the Party and State for people with meritorious services and relatives of people with meritorious services to the revolution, the province always pays special attention to compensation work. Gratitude and comprehensive care for the lives of people who contributed to the revolution. Every year, on holidays and New Year, from the province to the grassroots, we maintain a good way of visiting and giving gifts to people who have contributed to the revolution and families of martyrs. In addition, many other policies are also implemented by party committees and authorities from the province to the grassroots such as: Support for new construction and housing repair; Prioritize loans to develop production; Prioritize and create favorable conditions for children of people with meritorious services in education, training, vocational training, employment...Therefore, the lives of people with meritorious services and their families in the province have improved both materially and spiritually.
