As reported by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, up to now, 10/10 districts and city have established the Steering Committees of the clean water supply program in districts and city. The rate of clock connection as compared to the provincial design by the end of 2018 reached an average of 38.6%. The propaganda to raise awareness about the benefits of using clean water and provincial regulations on clean water supply has been focused on by the press and functional agencies.

At the meeting, delegates and members of the Provincial Steering Committee reported on the implementation of the assigned tasks and focused on the following contents: The transfer of the works, the transfer of raw water sources, speeding up the construction progress; the rate of connection and adjustment of water supply zoning; the water quality management; the management of domestic water price; supply resources and the safe water supply plans of enterprises. At the same time, to propose some solutions to well perform the tasks in the coming time. 

Speaking at the conclusion of the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Quang requested that in the coming time members of the Provincial Steering Committee, the People's Committees of districts and city should raise their responsibilities in implementing the tasks assigned by the Provincial People's Committee on the clean water supply program. Districts and city should urgently summarize and evaluate the results of the clean water supply program in 2018 and implement the tasks in 2019. Functional units should step up the review of safe water connection rates; supervise the construction progress of centralized water supply works as planned; adjust water supply zoning for water facilities which do not meet the capacity and progress of the task. The Provincial Steering Committee established a team to inspect the clean water supply program in districts and city. For cases of violations of water quality, they should be strictly handled and publicized on the mass media. To pay attention to early completing the mechanisms to support poor households in using clean water. The provincial press agencies promote the propaganda to raise the awareness of people in using clean water.
