Delegates at the working session

At the working session, the representative of the Military Medical University introduced the research and production process of the Nanocovax vaccine. NanoCovax vaccine, which is researched by the Military Medical University and manafactured by Nanogen Pharmaceutical Biotechnology Joint Stock Company, has so far completed the clinical trial at phase 2. The clinical and preclinical research results show that the vaccine is safe and immunogenic. In the near future, the vaccine will be conducted in clinical trial at phase 3. The purpose of the delegation to work with the province is to ask Hung Yen province to approve the clinical trial of the Nanocovax vaccine at phase 3 in the province with the number of 5.2 thousand people. The criteria for selecting testing subjects are people from the age of 18 at the time of screening and the ones at high risk of Covid-19 infection… Hung Yen is a locality, which is selected to participate in clinical research on the basis of the medical staff's capacity and experience in vaccination and despite being the epidemic area, the infected number is small.

Talking to the delegation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Quoc Van quickly informed the delegation about the situation of the Covid-19 epidemic in the area, the epidemic prevention and control, including the measures to vaccinate against the Covid-19; at the same time, he expressed his support for conducting clinical trials in the province. He proposed the subjects, who are tested this time are in crowded places such as markets, apartment buildings, schools, and businesses. He hoped that the unit would soon mass-produce the Nanocovax vaccine to inject people, contributing to repelling the Covid-19 epidemic and affirming Vietnam's ability to research and produce vaccine against the Covid-19.
