Reporter: Highly efficient, safe and sustainable commodity agriculture, wealthy farmers and civilized rural areas have contributed to changing the face of Hung Yen rural area. So, how is the following orientation of Hung Yen province to restructure agricultural production, which is an important driving force contributing to the economic growth of the province, sir?
Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung: Hung Yen is one of eight provinces in the country with 100% of the communes meeting the new rural standards; up to now, 100% of localities at district level are recognized as meeting the new rural standards. To transform crop structure towards highly efficient commodity agriculture in citrus, litchi, longan, flower, ornamental plant, medicinal plant... in many places, the revenue is from 500 to 700 million VND / ha of cultivativation. In addition, Hung Yen still has nearly 5,000 ha of land along the Red River and Luoc River (It is currently not exploited effectively), so this is considered as a resource, a great room for the province to develop the economy in yards, associated with ecotourism in the coming time.
Accordingly, Hung Yen continues to attach importance to invest in the development of safe, sustainable and highly efficient commodity agriculture, wealthy farmers, civilized rural areas, with the following tasks: Promote restructuring the agricultural sector in the direction of large-scale commodity development, clean, safe, good quality and effective production with high competitiveness; promote the application of advanced science and technology, information technology and digital technology in association with the development of e-commerce. To ensure the area of rice cultivation according to planning; continue to appropriately convert about 4,000-5,000 ha of inefficient rice land to annual crops according to the plan, combine with aquaculture, associated with VietGap production. To develop regions that specialize in intensive farming and production of goods, associated with preservation, processing and consumption in value chain.
To increase the attraction of investment in agricultural, peasantry and rural development, construction and development of modern agriculture - wealthy farmers - civilized rural areas. To mobilize social resources, modernize agricultural and rural infrastructure; step up the construction of advanced and model new countryside; improve people's material, spiritual life and health.
