The delegation saw the participation of Mr. Do Dinh Hao, Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Director of Provincial Police; Mr. Tran Van Quy, Deputy Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly; leaders of the Departments of Natural Resources and Environment, Education and Training, the Management Board of Industrial Parks of the province and Chairmen of Kim Dong and Van Giang Districts People’s Committee.

In Japan, the delegation worked with the Board of Directors and investors of Tokyo Vietnam Medical University. Ms. Kusumi Mari, Chairman of Waseda Group - President of Tokyo Vietnam Medical University, directly presented to the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee on the medical training facilities in Saitama invested by Waseda and reported the construction progress, training and enrollment of the school and the operation plan in 2018-2019.
Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phong noted that Waseda's medical facilities are modern and meet the international standards; and agreed to adjust the project of Tokyo Vietnam Medical University on building a modern 100-bed practice hospital in accordance with Japanese standards. At the same time, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment is assigned to support the school to complete the Environmental Impact Assessment file of the adjustment and supplement project. On the other hand, he also suggested that the school open more training disciplines according to the aspirations of Vietnamese students and expand its links with other medical and welfare establishments in Japan for the employment of students after graduation. Investors of Tokyo Vietnam Medical University are committed to speeding up the construction and running the practice hospital once approved. If the graduates of Tokyo Vietnam Medical University, especially students of Hung Yen want to work in Japan after graduation, they will be given the priority to work in medical facilities of Waseda, Japan.
Then, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phong and the delegation had a talk with some businesses in Tokyo city and called for potential businesses to invest in Hung Yen. On September 7, the delegation attended and had a presentation at the Vietnam-Japan Economic Cooperation Forum in the framework of "Vietnam Festa in Kanagawa". The seminar saw the attendance of Mr. Kuji Koroiwa, Governor of Kanagawa Prefecture and more than 300 Japanese enterprises.
At the seminar, Mr. Kuji Koroiwa, Governor of Kanagawa Prefecture gave a keynote address and introduction on Kanagawa's history, socio-economic situation, business community and the opportunity to invest in Kanagawa. Then, Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Deputy Party Secretary, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee delivered a speech to introduce the potentials, advantages and some preferential investment policies as well as Hung Yen's commitments to foreign investors. On the sidelines of the forum, many businessmen have contacted with the delegation to better understand the investment environment in the province and planned to visit and explore the investment environment in the province in the coming time.
On the same day, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phong and the delegation met with the Governor of Kanagawa Prefecture. At the talks, the Governor of Kanagawa province expressed his thanks to the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phong for providing the best conditions for businesses in Kanagawa to invest in Hung Yen. He pledged to do his utmost to deepen the solidarity and friendship between two provinces of Kanagawa and Hung Yen as well as call on the business community to invest in Hung Yen. Chairman of the provincial People's Committee received the Mayor of Ayase city. Ayase is currently the biggest industrial city in Kanagawa Prefecture and looking forward to cooperating with a district in Hung Yen province. Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phong highly appreciated the activeness of Ayase city in building and strengthening the cooperation with Hung Yen. Regarding the proposal to establish the friendship with a district of Hung Yen province, he said that it is in line with the external orientation of the province and would assign the professional agency to conduct the survey and introduce a district of Hung Yen province.
On September 8, the delegation worked with Sumitomo Corporation. Mr. Yasushi Fukuda, member of the Board of Management, General Manager of Logistics and Insurance Business Division of Sumitomo Corporation, reported on the production and business in Thang Long Industrial Park II and the survey on the expansion of Thang Long Industrial Park II at phase 3 of 170ha. At the working session, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phong recognized the contribution of Sumitomo Corporation to the socio-economic development of the province and agreed with the survey of Sumitomo Corporation. He pledged to direct relevant agencies to create favorable conditions to support the expansion of Thang Long Industrial Park II at phase 3 and assign the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to let Sumitomo lease land at the most favorable price. Chairman of the provincial People's Committee and Sumitomo Corporation signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the amendment and supplementation of some contents of the MOU dated 27/10/2016 on the cooperation to set up the Japanese Enterprises Support Desk in Hung Yen province. It will raise the awareness of the importance of ensuring traffic safety for workers, in order to create the satisfaction for employees as well as existing investors, contributing to the objectives of the Japanese Enterprise Support Desk: "To attract small and medium enterprises to invest in Hung Yen province in order to develop supporting industries of Hung Yen province".
Also in Japan, the delegation came to study the agricultural farm model in combination with tourism and the improvement of soil fertility after harvesting in some agricultural farms in Yamanashi, such as the Misaka vineyard...
Then the delegation worked with JCM Japan on the investment in a 300-ha industrial park in Ly Thuong Kiet Industrial Park. Mr. Jun Kawamuro, General Director of the company, reported to the delegation on its formation and development and answered in detail the questions of the delegation. Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phong highly appreciated the consulting and investment management capacity of JCM Japan. On September 10, he had a working session with Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO). He introduced the socio-economic situation and the foreign investment attraction in the province... and proposed Jetro to promote the image of Hung Yen province with Japanese enterprises. On behalf of Jetro Japan, Ms. Yuri Sato - Executive Vice President of Jetro Japan congratulated Hung Yen Province on the rapid development in attracting investment and wished together with Hung Yen province to organize the seminars of investment promotion with Japanese companies not only in Japan but also in Hung Yen.
In Korea, the delegation came to work with the government of Daejeon city. Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phong and Mr. Her Tae-Jeong, Mayor of Daejeon city signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of the friendship and cooperation between Hung Yen province, the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam and Daejeon city, the Republic of Korea. Accordingly, two sides will support mutually, facilitate the exchange and cooperation in the fields of economics, science and technology, health and health care, education, tourism and environment and establish a platform for the public-private partnerships. Two sides agreed to actively exchange knowledge, information and related technologies necessary for the development of the parties without harming the bilateral and national interests. Two sides will discuss, expand and set up new contents and areas of cooperation.
On September 12, the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee met with the Chairman of the Daejeon city’s Council.
On September 13, the delegation worked with the Incheon Education and Science Research Institute on the transfer of visual scientific research equipment in the field of education for Hung Yen. Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phong acknowledged the practical learning is very useful. The Incheon Education and Science Research Institute agreed to transfer the visual science education equipment to the education sector of Hung Yen province as soon as possible.
At the working session between the delegation and some businesses in Seoul on calling for investors in the industrial clusters of Hung Yen province, Seoul businesses suggested the province create good conditions for Korean enterprises to invest in a mechanical industrial cluster with the area of 65ha specializing in manufacturing machines for agriculture sector and two other industrial clusters specializing in electronics and manufacturing medical devices.
The mission of the provincial delegation in Japan and Korea was a success. The province received the attention of many businesses and corporations and signed some agreements to attract investment and promote education - training in the province in the coming time.
