In the past time, implementing the social isolation measure to prevent and control COVID-19 epidemic caused many people to be unable to work or lose their jobs; they don’t have any income to cover their lives or ensuring a minimum standard of living. Therefore, the provincial People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province formulate a plan to coordinate and mobilize the all people to donate rice to poor households and households in the concentrated quarantine zones for COVID-19 prevention and control to overcome difficulties and settle down.  According to the plan, the campaigned subjects are cadres, civil servants, officials, officers, soldiers and employees in agencies and units receiving salaries from the state budget and armed forces, benefactors, all people in and outside the province to directly donate rice or cash. The poor households shall be donated 30 kg of rice/household; households in the concentrated quarantine zones for COVID-19 prevention and control shall be donated 20 kg of rice/household. The campaign period starts from April 10 to May 10, 2020.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phong emphasized: Last time, Hung Yen has achieved positive results the prevention and control of COVID-19. The province has actively invested in medical equipment and facilities.  People's awareness of disease prevention and control has been raised.  Along with the budget funding source, organizations and individuals in the province have supported the prevention and control of COVID-19 for over VND 20 billion. The program of mobilizing all people to donate rice to poor households and households in the concentrated quarantine zones for COVID-19 prevention and control is a timely, practical and meaningful job, showing the spirit of solidarity, kindness and love one another and contributing to the health, life and happiness protection for the people.  The Chairman requested: The donated sources of funding and rice of organizations, individuals, businesses, benefactors and people from all social strata must be managed and used for the right purpose, right beneficiary, ensuring equality and ensuring that 100% of poor households and households in the concentrated quarantine zones for COVID-19 prevention and control will receive the donation.

* From March 3, Khoai Chau district has prepared a concentrated quarantine zone for cases contacted with COVID-19 infected patients at the Management Board of Red River Delta Coal Project (Khoai Chau townlet) with a scale of 150 beds.  

* Up to now, Binh Kieu commune (Khoai Chau district) has propagandized and mobilized agencies, businesses and people in the commune to join hands to donate the prevention and control of COVID-19 with a total of nearly VND 47 million.  

* In order to proactively prevent and control COVID-19 epidemic, Van Lam Electricity requests employees to measure body temperature, wash hands with antiseptic water before coming to the office, it also equips face masks, face shields at the transaction division. Along with that, it has mobilized officials and workers to donate and join hands with Van Lam district to prevent and fight disease with a total amount of VND 10 million.
