Trade promotion activities open more opportunities for Hung Yen longan to approach domestic consumers, aiming to export to foreign markets. In the domestic market, the province associates with provinces and cities such as Hanoi, Hai Duong, Quang Ninh ... to consume longan by distribution channels such as wholesale markets, traditional retail markets, etc. In 2019, the week of longan and agricultural products of Hung Yen province in Hanoi city has attracted attention of consumers in the capital city. This year, the province continues to organize activities to promote the consumption of longan with a series of events such as trade promotion conference for agricultural products consumption - Hung Yen longan festival; Hung Yen longan week in Hanoi; the contest for the best longan varieties.
The promotion of Hung Yen longan products has created a close and sustainable linkage between farmers and businesses, with “4 parties", connected production with processing and trading, in order to expand the market for products. Thereby, this would bring Hung Yen longan to other markets out of Hung Yen province and export; farmers dismissed the worry of "bumper crops, falling prices".
