In the first half of the year, Industry and Trade implemented solutions simultaneously; therefore, all criteria gained high growth. The industrial manufacturing value reached VND 59.8 thousand, up 9.6%; the industrial production index increased by 9.6% over the same period last year. The total retail sales of goods and services gained over VND 15 trillion, up 11.4%, accounting for 53.7% of the year plan; the export value reached over USD 2.1 billion, up 16,6%; the import value was USD 2.37 billion, up 16,9%. The state management in industry, commerce, market management and administrative reform has witnessed positive results. The department of industry and trade successfully organized the Mau Tuat spring fair and activities in response to the Vietnamese Consumers’ Right Day and the conference connecting supply and demand in consumption of agricultural and industrial goods in rural areas. 

In order to achieve and exceed the target and plan in 2018, in the last six months of the year, the Department of Industry and Trade focuses on implementing such solutions as coordinating closely with departments, sectors and localities to implement effectively the solutions to investment attraction and the industrial and trade promotion activities; organizing the festival to honor the longan for the second time and the longan week in Hanoi at the beginning of the third quarter; holding fairs for the consumption of industrial and agricultural products. 

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Phong- Chairman of the provincial People's Committee requested the industry and trade to focus on implementing and advising the province on the development of industrial clusters, setting up the regulations and mechanisms on the operation and support of the development of industrial clusters; to coordinate with relevant departments, branches and localities to build trademarks and brands of agricultural products; to design and manufacture the high-quality package and stick the stamps of product traceability; to take initiative to connect the production and consumption of agricultural products, in which focus on effective implementation of longan fairs and festivals this year; to strengthen the market management, trade promotion; to build and develop commercial services such as wholesale markets, trade centers and logistic services; to effectively implement the programs, plans and schemes of the sector; to promote the administrative reform ...
