Businesses in the province have proactively researched, researched and boldly approached new markets, exploiting advantages from FTAs. With the efforts of businesses and the responsible and effective participation of authorities at all levels, in recent years, the province's export value has continuously grown, clearly demonstrating the positive impacts of integration. international economy in general and effective exploitation of FTAs ​​in particular. If in 2010 the province's exports only reached 594.56 million USD, by 2020 it had reached 4,500 million USD. In 2021, in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, it still reached 5,479 million USD, an increase of 14.82%; in 2022, reaching 6,645 million USD, an increase of 18.7%; In 2023, under the conditions of global economic crisis, the province's export value is expected to reach 5,808 million USD. Up to now, the province's products have been present in many countries and territories such as ASEAN countries, Japan, China, Korea, EU, United States... Export products are increasingly diverse, besides Traditional items such as garments, handicrafts, agricultural products... have appeared more and more products with high added value such as product groups, mechanical details, electronic components... These That result creates more confidence for the province's businesses to steadily step on the path of integration and make the best use of the FTAs ​​that have taken effect.

 

However, besides the achieved results, the process of economic integration and implementation of FTAs ​​still has some difficulties due to many businesses' limited scale and potential, and low awareness of international economic integration; There has not been adequate investment in technological innovation and application of science and technology to improve the competitiveness of goods. Some fields have not been proactive in sourcing input raw materials for production and are still dependent on imported raw materials; Meeting conditions and standards on labor, intellectual property, green production, etc. is also a challenge for businesses. At the same time, FTAs ​​also create increasingly fierce competitive pressure on businesses in the domestic market because quality and reputable products from international businesses and corporations are easily imported. distributed in Vietnam.

 

To overcome difficulties and challenges in the process of international economic integration in general and the implementation of FTAs ​​in particular, in the coming time, businesses must proactively improve management capacity and quality of human resources. , improve labor productivity and competitiveness to participate and closely associate with supply chains and global value chains, and exploit FTA opportunities well.
