On August 30, Hung Yen city solemnly held the celebration of the 10th anniversary of establishment and received the certificate of completion of new-style rural area building tasks....

The ceremony saw the attendance of Mr. Nguyen Van Binh, member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of PCC Economic Commission; Mrs. Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Mr. Do Tien Sy, Member of the Party Central Committee, Provincial Party Secretary, Head of the provincial delegation of National Assembly; Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Deputy Party Secretary, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee; former leaders of Hung Yen province; members of the provincial standing party committee; standing committee of provincial people’s council, leaders of the provincial people’s committee, provincial committee of Vietnam fatherland front.

Over the past 10 years, Hung Yen city has made important progress with synchronous development in all fields. The economy grew on average of 11.8% per year during the course of 10 years, from 2009 to 2019. The percentage of poor households decreased to nearly 2% (in 2018). The economic structure has been rapidly shifted towards increasing of the proportion of industry, construction, services and tourism and gradually reducing the proportion of agriculture. The new style rural and urban appearance is increasingly thriving; the system of infrastructure is relatively synchronized. The city's economic development results  have contributed to development of economy, the people's living standards have been improved both physically and mentally.

From 2011 till now, the city has mobilized over VND 2.2 trillion for the investment of building new rural areas, of which nearly VND 1.1 trillion mobilized from the people. Nearly 290 kilometers of rural roads have been newly built; 100 classrooms have been constructed; Many projects such as health stations, cultural houses, electrical systems, irrigation systems ... are paid attention to investment. As a result, by the end of 2018, 10 out of 10 communes of the city were recognized to satisfy new-style rural standards and on August 21, 2019, Hung Yen city was recognized to complete the task of building new-style area.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Binh, member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of PCC Economic Commission praised the achievements of the provincial Party Committee, the government and Hung Yen City's people over the last 10 years. Thanks to the solidarity and efforts, Hung Yen city has overcome many difficulties and challenges, mobilized resources, exploited potentials and advantages to build an increasingly developed province and change the face of the city towards civilization, clean environment and tidiness. Economic grows at a high level, economic structure is moving to the right direction, socio-economic infrastructure is upgraded and investment and income per capita increase. In the coming time, Hung Yen city needs to focus on implementing the main contents such as: Better perform the will of President Ho Chi Minh; inculcate, study and follow the example of ideology, morality and style of president Ho Chi Minh; promote the strength of great unity to build Hung Yen city to be rich in economy, strong in national defense and security and worthy of being the provincial capital; effectively exploit potentials, advantages and promote the spirit of dynamism, innovation, creativity; focus on solutions to improve productivity, quality, efficiency and competitiveness and create environment and motivation for development; focus on improving the quality of education and vocational training; promote administrative reform; strengthen discipline, effectively implement e-government; foster to build the Party and a strong and clean political system.

On this occasion, under the authorization of the Prime Minister, Mr. Nguyen Van Binh, member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of PCC Economic Commission awarded the certificate of completion of new-style rural area building tasks to the representative of the party committee, government and people of Hung Yen city; Mr. Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, Vice President of the Socialist republic of Vietnam awarded the certificate of merit of the Prime Minister to the people and officials of Hung Yen city for their achievements at work, contributing to the cause of socialism building and country protection.
