With the efforts of cadres, party members and all segments of people, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly issued a resolution to establish My Hao town in Hung Yen province and seven wards of My Hao town on the basis of the entire natural area and population of formerly My Hao district.  My Hao town consists of 7 wards and 6 communes.  In order to officially go into operation under the functions and tasks of the party and town government organizations, the Provincial Party Standing Committee decided to change the name of My Hao district Party Committee to My Hao Town Party Committee and appoint official leaders of the Town Party Committee.

Presenting flowers and speeches to congratulate My Hao town, Head of Provincial Party Inspection Committee Tran Quoc Toan praised the district's striving process to achieve the criteria to become a town.  At the same time, he asked the town needs to strengthen the new urban administration; clearly define objectives and orientations for socio-economic development. The town need reviewing, adjusting and supplementing town plans to 2030; implementing urban management, synchronous infrastructure, planning suitable economic development areas; continuing to focus on adjusting the landscape and urban environment as well as building town to be more and more developed.
