Thousands of witnesses cheered under the brightly colored fireworks flying up like wishes for a new year full of luck, happiness, success, and new victories.

* At night of February 15, or the New Year’s Eve, people in Hung Yen city welcomed the New Year in beautiful weather. Airy atmosphere with gentle cold stimulated people in Hung Yen city to go out to the roads. From 8pm on the New Year’s Eve, lines of people flocked to the center of the city to enjoy the gorgeous scene of the young city at the moment of New Year's Eve. This is also a chance for everyone to enjoy the celebration performances held in front of the provincial post office. As the spring music festival ended, people moved to the central area of ​​Nguyen Van Linh Square to wait for the moment of the fireworks art.

Right at midnight of the first day of the Lunar New Year, or February 16, 2018, the brilliant light and sparkling beams of fireworks busted high in the sky signaling the Lunar New Year of Mau Tuat started. 180 low-level pyrotechnic displays in over 20 categories such as daisy, willow shape, palm tree, golden rain, silver rain feasted viewers’ eyes.

After the 15 minute fireworks ended, people scattered to the street to buy salt packs, sugar canes and go to temples to pray for a happy new year full of luck and happiness.

Like other localities in the province, in order to prepare for the fireworks display in New Year's Eve, transportation, connection and protection of fireworks as well as coordination between forces were ensured.

According to the people present here said that the fireworks display in front of the People's Committee of My Hao District this year is very beautiful, the spring performance show is well-organized. The situation of security and order was guaranteed, there was no traffic jams in the main roads of the district.

* In Van Lam district, the flow of people from all parts of the district went out under the cold weather to get prepared to welcome the New Year. Just before the New Year, multiple cultural and artistic activities were organized to serve people here.

This year, the funding for fireworks display was implemented by the socialization source. At the midnight, 90 stacks of fireworks with multiple types were shot brilliant.

* In order to welcome the spring festival of 2018, Tien Lu district held various practical activities to celebrate the Party and the spring. From December 16 to 30 of the lunar year, the district successfully held the Spring Flower Market, attracting over 50 booths well serving the demand of flowers and ornamental trees. The district also held the music performance show in the evening of December 30 of the lunar year and hung posters on the main roads in the district.

* New Year seems to come sooner  to the people of Van Giang district at the middle of December of the lunar year through flower gardens, bonsai in colorful colors. This year, flowers, bonsai trees here were favored and in demand, so the atmosphere to welcome Tet in the localities is more exciting.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa in Xuan Quan commune said that the goods in service for Tet were plentiful and diversified with stable prices. Therefore, only taking some minutes in the market, can people buy adequate goods for Tet, such as fruit tray, candies, bamboo shoots, vermicelli, chicken, peach blossom, and apricot blossom. Throughout the paths, flags, flowers and lights were decorated in many colors.

* In An Thi district, before the New Year’s Eve of the year of Mau Tuat 2018, all the streets were brightly decorated with flags and lamps. Not only in the center of the district but also in the residential areas, hamlets and villages, the spring greeting atmosphere is electric. The weather was warm this year, so many people came to the district center or cultural centers of the commune, town and village to enjoy the program of celebration party and Spring Festival held by the party committee and local authority. Most of the music programs were performed by club members in the communes and towns.

* On February 19 (the 4th day of Tet), at Xich Dang Temple (Hung Yen City), the Provincial Relics Management Board held the "Calligraphy Exhibition, Ca Tru singing and asking for spring calligraphy".

Exhibitors of Han Nom Club in Van Lam District and singers of Dao Dang Ca Tru club  (Hung Yen City) attended the exhibition. The exhibition displayed 60 calligraphy types written by calligraphers in Hanoi and Han No club in Van Lam district. This is an annual event when Tet comes in order to honor the study and preserve the traditional culture of the nation.

* On February 19, the Center of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Yen My district organized the program of cultural and sport exchange celebrating the Spring 2018. The program attracted the participation of 17 art groups coming from the communes and towns in the district. The team brought many songs, dance and music performances with the theme of honoring the Party, Uncle Ho, love for the homeland, the country, Vietnamese people and the revolutionary tradition.
