The whole working session

At the working session, Mr. Luc Jacobus Johanna Driessen, General Director of Bejo Vietnam Production Co., Ltd said: Bejo Vietnam Production Co., Ltd was established by Bejo Group (Netherlands) which operates in the field of hybridization, production and trade of all kinds of high quality vegetable seeds. 

After the research, survey and evaluation, Bejo Group has leased 2.3 ha of land in Luong Tai Commune (Van Lam district) to carry out research and testing activities on high quality vegetable crops such as tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and cauliflowers. After a period of study, the result is quite good.

During the working session, leaders of Bejo Vietnam Production Co., Ltd hoped to learn about the mechanisms and policies in supporting the high-tech agriculture projects of the province before setting up the research and testing center of high quality vegetable seeds.

Speaking at the working session, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phong introduced the potentials and strengths of the province in agricultural development, especially in land, irrigation and human resources. 

He suggested the company actively work with the Departments of: Planning and Investment, Agriculture and Rural Development, Science and Technology to find out specific support policies as well as legal procedures in the establishment of the center.

He underlined that the Government is encouraging enterprises to invest in hi-tech agricultural area. Therefore, the establishment of the research and testing center of high quality vegetable seeds will have a lot of advantages and preferences. On the basis of preferential policies allowed by the government, the province will create favorable conditions for the company to implement the project as well as the operation of the center in the coming time.
