On the afternoon of October 13th, at the headquarters of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Le Huy, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, held a working meeting with the delegation from the Vietnamese Embassy in Portugal.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Manh Thang, the Vietnamese Ambassador to Portugal, said: The delegation wished to learn about the socio-economic development of Hung Yen province; and at the same time, inform the province about the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between Hung Yen province and the city of Braga (Portugal); and propose areas of cooperation between the two localities in the future. The proposed areas of cooperation include: promoting cultural exchange, tourism promotion, economic and trade exchange, urban renovation, and heritage preservation…

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Le Huy gave an overview of the province's socio-economic development; in particular, he emphasized policies to attract investment and develop industry. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee agreed with the contents of the memorandum of cooperation between the People's Committee of Hung Yen province and the city of Braga (Portugal); he expressed his hope that both sides would strengthen exchanges and cooperation within the framework of the memorandum; and promote meetings and exchanges between the leaders of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province and the leaders of the Braga city government. He requested the provincial departments and agencies to prepare the necessary conditions to ensure smooth and fruitful cooperation between Hung Yen province and Braga city.
