Leader of Department of Intellectual Property awarded the Certificate of “Hung Yen U trung litchi" to the leader of Department of Science and Technology

The project of “Building, managing and developing the certification mark of “Hung Yen U trung litchi” to U trung litchi products of Hung Yen province” is implemented by Viet Intellectual Property Asset Progression Company Limited in 2019.

The project aims to: Successfully register the protection of the certification mark of "Hung Yen U trung litchi" to the province's U trung litchi products; complete the certification mark management tools; set up tools to promote and introduce products to create the premise for Hung Yen U trung litchi to develop properly with its potentials and strengths.

After 9 months of implementation, the project has accomplished the tasks set out in the plan, completed the certification mark registration dossier submitted to the National Office of Intellectual Property. On May 5, 2020, the certification mark of "Hung Yen U trung litchi" was granted a protection title No. 349441. The Department of Science and Technology is the owner and the trademark management agency of "Hung Yen U trung litchi". Quyet Tien Agricultural Cooperative is the unit authorized to use codes for products carrying the certification mark of "Hung Yen U trung litchi ".

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duy Hung emphasized that successful registration of the trademark "Hung Yen U trung litchi” would connect household businesses to build and protect the specialty products of the homeland. Therefore, in the coming time, the government and people of Phan Sao Nam commune should actively promote the application of scientific and technological advances in planting and caring Hung Yen litchi trees. Department of Science and Technology should well manage the trademark and create conditions for businesses, cooperatives and citizens to use certification marks effectively. Department of Industry and Trade needs to make good connection between supply and demand to create a tight, strict and effective distribution and consumption network in the domestic market.
