According to statistics from the Department of Health, by 16:00 on July 28, the province has found 1,748 returnees from Da Nang and Quang Ngai provinces. These cases have been required for medical reporting, including 1,670 isolated cases to monitor health at home and residence; 9 cases are being isolated at health facilities.

After being infected with SARS-CoV-2 virus due to spreading in the community in Da Nang city, on July 26, the Steering Committee for prevention and control of Covid-19 disease in Khoai Chau district sent a correspondence to localities to urgently review, update, grasp the number of citizens returning from Da Nang city to the locality in less than 14 days, must make medical declaration and self-isolation for health monitoring for 14 days according to the Correspondence No. 1793 dated July 25 of the provincial steering Committee for Covid-19 disease Prevention and Control.

Medical staffs in An Vi commune (Khoai Chau district) come to people’s houses returning from Da Nang city to examine health

Mr. Phan Quang Manh, Head of Health Department of Khoai Chau district, said that from July 26, the department has implemented propaganda on the system of radio stations in the district, communes and towns. By 16:00 on July 28, the whole district has reported 295 people returning from Da Nang city and Quang Ngai province to the locality. One of them is isolated at a health facility; the other is self-isolated at home and residence.

According to the statistics of the Health Department of Khoai Chau district, An Vi commune is one of the localities having many people returning from Danang city. As of July 28, An Vi commune has recorded 25 cases returning from Da Nang city. Immediately after receiving the request from the Steering Committee for prevention and control of Covid-19 of Khoai Chau district, An Vi commune health station has implemented propaganda on the loudspeaker system in the commune. Health workers, Party cell secretaries, village heads went "every lane, knocked on every house" to review, make the monitoring list, guide people returning from Da Nang city to isolate themselves at home for 14 days, notify health status 2 times per day. For each case, the Commune Health Station has to make the monitoring record; health monitoring sheet to people isolated at home and residence; make the written commitment to implement medical isolation at home and residence; instruct medical isolation at home and residence so that citizens would implement.

In Tien Lu district, up to 16:00 on July 28, through review, the whole district has detected 82 cases returning from Da Nang city back to the locality. These cases are mainly for traveling, visiting relatives and required to declare health and self-quarantine for health monitoring at home and residence.

Di Che commune is the locality having the highest number of people who are self-isolated to monitor their health at home in Tien Lu district with 32 cases. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong, Head of Commune Health Station, Deputy Head of Covid-19 Prevention and Control Steering Committee of Di Che commune said: “All these cases have been requested to make a record and sign commitments to isolate at home. They are required to check the body temperature twice a day and report the results to the phone number provided by the commune health station”

In order to timely supervise and isolate cases related to the outbreak in Da Nang city and Quang Ngai province, on July 28, the Department of Health issued the Correspondence No. 1822 on the implementation of measures on Covid-19 disease prevention and control related to outbreaks in Da Nang city and Quang Ngai province. Accordingly, it requires that people returning from the above localities (starting from March July 8, 2020) make the medical declaration (make an online medical declaration at https://tokhaiyte.vn or download applications or the app NCOVI from https://ncovi.vn), regularly update health status and notify local authorities or health stations, isolate and monitor health in 14 days at home. When there are signs such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, people should immediately notify the local health facility to take timely measures. Implement measures to prevent and control pandemic such as: Washing hands with soap or antiseptic water, wearing masks at crowded places, on public transport, keeping distances in the crowded places.
