Conference delegates attended the event
The event including Mr. Bui Thanh Son, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Ngo Le Van, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Tran Quoc Toan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; His Excellency Choi Youngsam, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Vietnam; Mr. Nguyen Le Huy, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Board and Standing Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders from 25 northern provinces and cities' People's Committees; and leaders of numerous Vietnam-Korea corporations and enterprises.

In his welcoming remarks, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Huu Nghia affirmed: "Hung Yen is greatly honored to be selected as the venue for the 'Meet Korea 2025' Program. This is a significant event aimed at consolidating and promoting friendship relations, economic development cooperation, trade, investment, cultural exchange, and people-to-people exchanges between Vietnam and Korea, contributing practically to strengthening the 'Vietnam-Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.' Simultaneously, it helps promote and publicize the image of Hung Yen's land and people, expanding cooperation relations between Hung Yen Province and Korean partners specifically."
Currently, Korean enterprises and investors have become one of the largest and most reliable partners, making important contributions to economic development, particularly economic growth, state budget revenue, job creation, and improving workers' income in Hung Yen Province. Hung Yen currently hosts 560 FDI projects with a total registered capital of USD 8.7 billion, with Korean investors ranking second in project numbers with 162 projects and investment capital of USD 1.46 billion.
The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that with the strategic goal of developing Hung Yen Province into a modern industrial province, Hung Yen desires to enhance more comprehensive cooperation with Korean partners while continuing to accompany, support, and create the most favorable conditions for Korean enterprises and investors to invest and do business in Hung Yen.

Speaking at the conference, His Excellency Choi Youngsam, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Vietnam, expressed delight that the "Meet Korea 2025" event was organized in Hung Yen Province—a location attracting attention not only in Vietnam but internationally, with development cooperation projects between Vietnam's Kinh Bac Group and the Trump Organization. Here, Korea also invested in the first industrial park in Vietnam—the Korea-Vietnam Industrial Park.
Ambassador Choi Youngsam also shared that Korea highly appreciates Vietnam's ongoing plans for reorganizing administrative apparatus and provincial-level administrative units, which represents an important step toward readiness for a great leap forward in the new era, while hoping that localities after reorganization will continue to pay attention and provide strong support for Korean enterprises.

Speaking at the Conference, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son assessed: "To date, Vietnam and Korea have become each other's leading important partners across multiple sectors. Korea currently ranks first in direct investment in Vietnam with 10,128 projects and total registered capital exceeding USD 92 billion; ranks second in development cooperation (ODA), labor, and tourism; and ranks third in trade cooperation. Conversely, Vietnam is Korea's largest economic partner in ASEAN, accounting for 30% of investment and 50% of total trade turnover between Korea and ASEAN. The two countries are aiming toward the goal of raising bilateral trade turnover to USD 100 billion by 2025 and USD 150 billion by 2030 in a balanced and sustainable direction."
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son affirmed: "The 'Meet Korea 2025' Conference holds great significance, marking 10 years since signing the Vietnam-Korea Free Trade Agreement (VKFTA) and 10 years of organizing this meaningful event series in Vietnam. This is an important opportunity for Hung Yen Province as well as other localities to introduce their potential, advantages, and development orientations for priority sectors, attract investment, priority policies supporting investment, and enhance promotion to Korean investors and enterprises so that these truly become 'nests' for developing production and business."
Mr. Bui Thanh Son, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, requested and hoped that Vietnamese and Korean localities and enterprises would proactively and actively connect, seizing opportunities for innovation, creativity, high-technology application, and building sustainable value chains, with focus on digital transformation, green economy, circular economy, semiconductors, environmentally friendly energy, biotechnology, 5G networks, and smart cities.

Delegates focused on discussing and analyzing potential, advantages, and suggesting cooperation opportunities between Korean enterprises and Vietnamese localities, including Hung Yen Province.
