According to a report by the Department of Health, after 23 consecutive days of not recording any Covid-19 cases, on the morning of June 21, in Yen My district, there are 2 new cases of Covid-19 infection. The initial identification of the source of infection is from the outbreak in Ho Chi Minh City. By the morning of June 23, the total number of cases recorded in Yen My district is 8 cases in 3 communes and towns including: Trung Hung (3 cases), Yen My town (4 cases), Viet Cuong commune (1 case). The subsequent cases are all originated from the first two recorded cases and isolated before. The whole province has reviewed 192 F1, 808 F2, 1,195 F3 cases.

After detecting a case of Covid-19 infection in Yen My district, the Provincial People's Committee issued the Official Letter No. 1292/UBND-KGVX dated June 21, 2021 on urgently implementing measures to prevent and control the epidemic related to the Covid-19 infected cases in Yen My district. In Yen My district, Trung Hung commune and Yen My town; Viet Phap II clinic (Thanh Xa village, Nghia Nghiep commune); Tren hamlet, Thuy Lan village, Thanh Long commune; Bac hamlet, Yen Do village, Tan Viet commune; My Xa village, Viet Cuong commune are blocked off; Yen Do village, Tan Viet commune is conducted social distancing according to the Directive No. 16 of the Prime Minister; 27 Covid-19 control posts are set up in the areas of blockage and social distancing.

From June 20 to now, the epidemic has been quite complicated, the source of infection from the outbreak in Ho Chi Minh City for the first two cases has not been identified, but all cases in the province have the same source spread from outside of the province. The whole province has promptly traced F1, F2 cases and isolated them according to regulations. During this period, in some localities, there are signs of subjectivity, neglect, and inadequate management of people returning from epidemic areas; lax in the inspection and supervision of services business that have not been allowed to operate under the direction of the Provincial People's Committee.

At the meeting, localities, departments and branches reported the epidemic situation under their management, discussed and proposed effective measures to prevent and control the epidemic.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested: The whole political system and the people raise their awareness and join the fight against the epidemic; strictly comply with regulations on the epidemic prevention and control in enterprises, each village and civil group, not to be passive or surprised; apply information technology in epidemic tracing and control; propagandize for people to improve their understanding and well implement measures to prevent and control the epidemic, especially 5K recommendations; accelerate injecting the vaccine against Covid-19 for subjects as prescribed. For Yen My district, it is necessary to focus on tracing, zoning and controlling the epidemic, not to be neglected as in the past time; strictly handle establishments and individuals that violate the regulations on the epidemic prevention and control; perform well the social security work in the blockaded area…

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Tran Quoc Van, Deputy Parrty Secretary, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee asked localities in the province to continue strictly implementing the guiding documents of the Central, the Government and the province on the epidemic prevention and control; especially for the areas with high risk of the epidemic infection, the performance is more stringent.

For Yen My district, arrange 2 people/room in the concentrated isolation area; concentrated isolation areas at the provincial level are ready to support receiving and quarantining F1 cases of Yen My district. After detecting F0 casse, the police force thoroughly traced F1 cases within 24 hours, thoroughly traced F2, F3 casses within the next 24 hours; paid attention to and taken care of the lives of policy families and the poor in all aspects of the blockade area, fully prepared food, foodstuff and essential necessities in the blocked and distanced areas. Agencies and offices have stepped up the reform of administrative procedures for collectives and individuals in handling work and administrative procedures. The Department of Transport makes a list of all drivers and assistants in the field of transport business services in the province, coordinates with the Department of Health to develop a plan for testing SARS-CoV-2 virus for these objects.
