Qi Mart supermarket, which is located along the National Highway No. 39 in Luong Bang town (Kim Dong), attracts a large number of customers to shop every day. Inside the store, which is hundreds of square meters wide, sells many items, but OCOP products are still arranged in the most eye-catching location for introduction and sale. Mr. Tran Doan Quan, manager of Qi Mart Supermarket said: Currently, the store introduces and sells more than 20 OCOP products of the province. All products have stamps, labels, OCOP certificates of the authorities. We aspire to become a place to introduce local specialties to consumers, contribute to the development of OCOP products, and support stable output for people.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Huynh, a customer in Song Mai commune (Kim Dong) shared: Coming to buy things at a store selling OCOP products, I don't need to spend too much time finding out the origin of goods, no longer worry about fake goods, counterfeit, poor quality products. Products sold at the store are very rich, diverse and branded such as: Honey, longan, turmeric, dried banana..., the price is a bit higher than the market price, but I still choose them because of the quality guarantee.
Not only retailing at stores displaying and introducing OCOP products, many manufacturers have built long-term plan to expand the consumption market, gradually putting OCOP products on the e-commerce platform. Mr. Nguyen Van Tu, Director of Viet Tu Clean Mushroom Development Trade and Investment Cooperative, Phu Thinh Commune (Kim Dong) said: Unlike traditional sale channels, e-commerce channels help us introduce, promote and bring complete and detailed information about OCOP products to domestic consumers. The cooperative currently has one 4-star OCOP-certified product, which is cordycep, and four 3-star certified products: sedative tea, Lingzhi tea, Ganoderma lucidum, and Cordyceps tea. By 2025, the whole province strives to have 70-100 more recognized OCOP products, bringing the total number of recognized OCOP products to 265-280 products with 3 stars or more; 100% of OCOP products that are recognized with 3 stars or more are posted on e-commerce platforms (postmart.vn and voso.vn, etc.) or other e-commerce applications such as Ketnoiocop.vn, Shopee.vn, Tiki. vn, Lazada.vn…); at least 50% of production entities participate in modern sale channels (supermarket systems, convenience stores, e-commerce trading floors)... To achieve this goal, sectors, localities and owners of production facilities need to focus on promoting trade promotion, advertising products in a methodical, synchronous and regular manner, strengthening OCOP product quality management and supervision, building the national OCOP brand as the basis for market promotion and international market access. At the same time, focusing on supporting OCOP product owners to master e-commerce skills to enhance direct interaction between producers and consumers.
