In the first 9 months of the year, a number of socio-economic targets of the province is as the following:

GDP increased by 9.82%. Production value of: industry and construction increased by 11.87%; trade and service increased by 7.46%; agriculture and forestry and fisheries up 2.25%. Total capital of investment and development reached VND 24,645 billion, up 9.78%; total retail sale of goods and services reached billion 28,207 VND, equivalent to 82,24% of the year plan, up 11.66%. The export turnover of 9 months was estimated at USD 3,300 million, equivalent to 70.1% of the year plan and up 6.45% compared to the same period last year. The import turnover of the first 9 months of the year was estimate at USD 3,200 million, decreased by 3.03% compared to the same period last year. State revenue was estimated at VND 10,399 billion, accounted for 80.83% of the year plan, up 24.9%; in which the domestic revenue is VND 7,454 billion, equivalent to 77.93% of year plan, up 24% compared to the same period last year.

State expenditure reached VND 5,675 billion, accounted for 64.4% of the year plan, up 3.7%. 141 out of 145 communes were recognized as the new style rural area, increased  by 24 communes compared to 2018. There are 342 kindergartens in the province and high school meeting national standards, up 22 facilities compared to the same period. 100% of the communes reached the national targets in health care; 89.87% of the residents joining medical insurance. 16,290 jobs were created domestically, accounted for 81.4% of year plan, up 12.2% compared to the same period.

Regarding the public investment plan, after 9 months of implementation, implementation process and capital disbursement of projects are good compared to the average of the country. Total investment capital in 2019 was VND 3,756 billion. As of September, 30, 2019, the implemented volume is worth VND 2,924 billion, accounted for 78% of capital plan. The disbursement reaches VND billion 2,494, equivalent to 66.4% of the capital plan.

Speaking at the meeting session, Chairman Nguyen Van Phong affirmed that in the first 9 months of 2019, social-economic targets of the province have shown the positive signal; the economic growth has exceeded the plan. Chairman of the provincial people’s committee requested Departments, agencies and sectors, Chairman of the People’s Committee of districts, towns and cities: to maintain achieved results; well complete targets in socio-economic development in the last 3 months; at the same time, emphasized some major tasks such as: well implement restructuring of agriculture, convert tree and cattle structure to create high added value; completely handle the Africa swine fever; boost the program of  building new style rural area; foster solutions to reach the target of state budget revenue in the province; well implement registration, measurement and issuance of land use right license; boost the implementation of 93A plan of the provincial people committee; completely handle the violation; manipulate the destruction of violated buildings on the agricultural land. Regarding the local national defense and military, he requested to well implement the scheme of sending regular police to local communes and towns; requested Chairman of the People’s Committee of districts, towns and cities to include the construction of commune police station into the budget plan. He also requested to increase the investment into infrastructure, teaching equipment and medical facilities; remove thatched cottages of poor households and people with meritorious services; implement the solutions to reduce traffic accident.

At the meeting, delegates gave opinions and agreed on some drafts of the Resolution of the provincial people’s committee summited to the provincial people’s council about merger of 26 villages to form 13 new villages and changing names of 5 villages of 5 communes under 3 districts: Kim Dong, Van Giang and Van Lam.
