According to the report of Hung Yen Customs Department, as of 31/10/2018, the Customs Department has implemented customs clearance procedures for 169,740 export-import declarations, up 14.53% over the same period in 2017 (averagely 778 declarations per working day). The main import and export items are machinery and equipment, materials for production, electronic components, iron and steel. Total tax collected by Hung Yen Customs Department is VND 2,550 billion, equivalent to 74.12% of the target (3.440 billion VND). As of 31/10/2018, Hung Yen province ranks 15th out of 63 provinces and cities in terms of export-import tax. According to the data, in 2018, there are 450 import-export enterprises to carry out the procedures and declare tax payment at Hung Yen Customs Department. There are 70 enterprises with the large revenues paying to the budget (over 1 billion VND per year), which still carry out the procedures and pay taxes at the Customs Department of other provinces and cities.

Hung Yen Customs Department has developed the plan and implemented comprehensive solutions to achieve the best on the task of paying to the state budget in 2018. It has enhanced such professional activities as: To take initiative in reviewing declarations in order to promptly detect signs of violation affecting the amount of tax payable; to attach importance to the inspection of dossiers and the actual status of goods on the origins, codes and tax rates in order to ensure the proper and full collection of taxes for the state budget. To implement level 4 online public service, guide businesses to pay electronic taxes at 24/7; reform of administrative procedures to create favorable conditions for import and export activities of enterprises, attract new enterprises to carry out customs procedures at the Customs Department, making the partnership of Customs – Enterprises real, creating the trust in the business community.

To achieve the best on the task of paying to the budget in 2018, in the final months of 2018, Hung Yen Customs Department focuses on implementing some key solutions: to collect and pay to the state budget as planned; accelerate the administrative reform, regularly review and cut inappropriate administrative procedures to increase the time for customs clearance; intensify the examination and discipline of cadres and civil servants, strictly prohibit all acts of causing trouble or harassment to enterprises; the Head directly meets to talk with enterprises to promptly remove problems arising in the course of settling the customs clearance procedures and set up the Troubleshooting Team consisting of 5 regular employees on duty 24 / 7.

At the conference, the Head of Hung Yen Customs Department exchanged and answered a number of difficulties and problems when enterprises carry out procedures and pay import and export tax on goods at the Department. The main focus is on policies to support enterprises in the process of declaration and carrying out procedures for export and import of goods at Hung Yen Customs Department.

The province is also interested in implementing policies to support the development of 1800 enterprises in general and the enterprises producing and trading import and export goods in particular, such as: to implement administrative procedures reform, improve the investment environment; build transport, electricity, water and communication systems to serve the needs of people in the province, including the demand for travel and transportation of goods of enterprises; compensate for land clearance to support enterprises; collect garbage, including a large amount of waste from businesses; build vocational schools and provide vocational training for labor force working in enterprises; support the payment of social insurance premiums for laborers; build housing area for workers in industrial parks and social houses; build and expand schools for children of workers in industrial parks; ensure the security and order, fire and explosion prevention ... Chairman of the provincial People's Committee requested Hung Yen Customs Department in the coming time to continue to be one of the leading agencies in administrative procedures reform, facilitate the enterprises to carry out the procedures and pay taxes at the Department.
