According to the statistics, the province has over 1,800 relic sites of all kinds, of which there are three ranked at the special national level, 175 relic sites are recognized at the national level (occupying the third nationwide on the number of relic sites classified at the national level), 264 relic sites are provincially ranked, 6 antiques and antique clusters are recognized as the national treasures, 36 craftsmen are bestowed the Meritorious artisans and the People's artisans.in the field of intangible assets. In the past years, the province has many consistent policies and opinions about the planning, preservation and promotion of cultural heritages. Many research works on culture are implemented to highlight the cultural values of the relic sites and historic characters in various localities. Scientific seminars about the historic famous people are organized. The provincial people's committee has issued the scheme of overhaul and deterioration avoidance of province-ranked and nation-ranked relic sites for the 2016-2020 period, which brings about effective results on saving the seriously deteriorated sites. The province has restored and prevented the degradation for 105 relic sites with the expenditure of over VND 200 billion. It also boosts the preservation of tangible and intangible cultural values and cultural values in the folk beliefs. Manifold festivals are restored and annually held attached with the communal cultural activities to create the beauty in the interactions among villagers. There are many heritages of Hung Yen are well known within the country and among foreigners such as: Ca Tru singing and Mother Goddess worshipping practice recognized as the intangible cultural heritages by UNESCO.

The cultural culture of Hung Yen is increasingly becoming a fulcrum to connect the community and create a great strength for the homeland to confidently integrate into the continuous and bustling development of the country amid the globalization. The system of Hung Yen cultural heritage has created material and spiritual values to the socio-economic growth. Some relic sites have become the familiar attractions for tourists such as: Pho Hien relic site, relic site cluster of Da Hoa-Da Trach, An Xa temple relic site… Hence, the development pace of the provincial tourism reaches 10% to 15% per year. Mr. Do Huu Nhan, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism affirmed: "Cultural heritages play an important role in the socio-economic growth, create the momentum to boost the tourism, bring in the economic benefits and disseminate the local images". In the coming time, the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector should review and inventory the system of historic and cultural relic sites under the cultural heritage law; mobilize the socialization forces to implement the projects; expand the campus of Xich Dang literature temple, Mau temple and Tran temple; restore the ancient Pho Hien; compile the dossiers and submit them to the competent authorities to rank the Da Hoa-Da Trach relic cluster as the special national relic site; select the typical intangible cultural heritages and submit the file to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to weigh classifying them into the national intangible heritage list…
