On April 7, the Provincial People's Committee and Provincial Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control (Provincial Steering Committee) held a video conference with the steering committees of districts, town, city, communes, wards and townlets in the province.  Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee chaired the conference. The conference saw the attendance of members of the Provincial Standing Party Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of the provincial delegation of National Assembly and members of the Provincial Steering Committee.

As of April 6, Hung Yen had one positive case with SARS-CoV-2 virus. A thousand cases have been quarantined, in which 96 cases are quarantined at health facilities, 179 cases are quarantined at district quarantined facilities, 826 cases are quarantined at home and accommodations. 

The Provincial People's Committee, all levels and branches have issued multiple documents directing the implementation of measures to prevent and control COVID -19 promptly and seriously. 95% of families have signed pledges to strictly abide by the epidemic prevention regulations; disease inspection and surveillance is strengthened.

Representatives of Steering Committees of districts, town and city have prompt reported the situation of prevention and control of COVID-19 in their areas as well as the activities of checking and quarantine of suspected cases and related cases.

In the conclusion, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phong evaluated that  over the past time, provincial people have abided by Prime Minister's Directive on social isolation; the provincial pandemic prevention team well performed the task of medical check; well implemented quarantine of cases returning from epidemic areas and suspected cases. The Chairman thanked collectives and individuals for their contribution on donating cash and in kind, so that all levels and branches have more resources for disease prevention. He asked the Standing Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and localities continue to mobilize the entire population to donate; mobilize public employees, civil servants and workers to support at least one day’s salary to support COVID-19 prevention and control.

The Chairman of the provincial People's Committee requested all levels, sectors and people to continue to strictly implement the Prime Minister's Directive No. 16 CT-TTg on urgent measures to prevent and control COVID-19, Plan No. 51 of the Provincial People's Committee on the implementation of the Prime Minister's Directive No. 16 and key tasks on the prevention and control of COVID-19 in Hung Yen province as well as regulations on disease prevention and control; strengthen inspection and supervision of epidemic prevention and control; criticize and immediately handle cases of non-observance of regulations on epidemic prevention and control; pay attention to propaganda and campaign to implement social distancing, especially in markets, supermarkets and commercial centers.  At the same time, he requested the health sector: to review the plans of epidemic prevention and control in order to supplement measures according to the current situation to make sure that quarantine zone was set where the epidemic occurred; to urgently develop a plan to prepare 30 beds available for treatment when people are positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus and 700 beds available for quarantine of suspected cases under the direction of the Central.

The health sector and police were requested to cooperate with local authorities to review cases related to positive cases for SARS-CoV-2 virus to put in quarantine and observe health promptly.

The provincial Public Security was requested to make a plan for monthly campaign (in April and May) to prevent and combat crime; The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province was kindly requested to launch the “All people protect national security” movement; strengthening the role of conciliation teams in order to well perform the task of ensuring security and order in localities.
