Craft village products have garnered high acclaim from both domestic and international consumers for their exceptional quality. Among these, several products have been successfully exported to various countries and territories.
At present, the turmeric production and processing craft village in Chi Minh commune (Khoai Chau district) cultivates turmeric across more than 160 hectares. In addition to traditional fresh turmeric and turmeric powder, production facilities within the craft village have invested in mechanized equipment in recent years to manufacture an expanded range of turmeric-based processed products, including turmeric starch, nano curcumin, turmeric milk, and spices. Consequently, the craft village has expanded its domestic market reach while intensifying export activities.
Mr. Hoang Quang Dong, Director of Hoang Minh Chau Hung Yen Limited Liability Company, shared: "In 2012, our enterprise exported its first 12 tons of raw turmeric to the Ukrainian market. Following favorable reception from international markets, the company conducted market research to understand the demands of other markets, including India, Japan, and South Korea. Since 2019, our enterprise has served as a trusted partner for the Japanese market in exporting turmeric-based products."
To ensure export products meet quality standards, the company's turmeric cultivation area adheres to VietGAP production protocols. Prior to planting, the company collaborates with Japanese partners to analyze soil and water samples, as well as fertilizers utilized, ensuring optimal and consistent curcumin content in the turmeric. For the past six years, the company has maintained an average annual export volume of 100 tons of turmeric to international markets.
While numerous traditional craft villages within the province have temporarily suspended operations or operate at reduced capacity due to market challenges and raw material shortages, the traditional incense craft village of Cao Thon in Bao Khe commune (Hung Yen city) continues to thrive and develop robustly.
