The first impression of Nom village is the ancient beauty of Nom pagoda. Legend has it that, Nom pagoda was built within an old pine forest, so it is also called Linh thong co tu. No one can ever remember the details on establishment of the pagoda except for the fact that according to two big plates here, the pagoda was built in 1680 and reconstructed many times since then.

Passing the ancient village gate, here comes a 200 year-old stone bridge crossing Nguyet Duc river to get to the pagoda. The bridge has 9 spans, which is composed of monolithic plates of blue stone with 2 meters wide tightly stuck with each other

In spite of undergoing a lot of restoration, Nom pagoda still contains almost all the ancient nature of the past. Nom pagoda's gate is recognized as one of the biggest pagoda gates in the Southeast Asia. The pagoda is constructed sophisticatedly with delicate curving patterns in which poles are made from precious woods.
This pagoda preserves 122 mysterious Buddhist statues made of burnt clay in different sizes and postures and scattered every corner of the pagoda.

The most fascinating feature is the airy scenery and special buildings. Quan Am building located in the middle of a lake appears as a magnificent Lotus shaped lamp support. Walking on an arrow-shaped stone bridge which emulates the ancient Nom bridge leads to Quan Am building. Two "Cửu phẩm liên hoa" towers made of bronze in front of the bridge compose of a complete complex which pleases visitors' eyes.
Banyan tree, river wharf and communal house yard are the typical feature of farmers in the Northern region for ages. Every time visiting here, we can dive ourselves into a serene space, listen to the mild melodies of nature. Indeed, Nom village is an attractive destination to people who are into the ancient beauty.
