On November 2nd, a delegation from Hung Yen province visited Uzbekistan, led by Mr. Nguyen Van Chien, Standing Committee Member and Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, along with Deputy Heads of Delegation: Ms. Quach Thi Huong, Standing Committee Member and Principal of the Nguyen Van Linh Political School; and Mr. Vu Ngoc Tri, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council. The members held working sessions with the Union of Sister Cities under the Committee on Inter-ethnic Relations and Overseas Vietnamese of Uzbekistan, the Uzbekistan-Vietnam Friendship Association, Tashkent Oriental National University, businesses, the Hung Yen expatriate community, and Vietnamese students in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Receiving and working with the delegation from Hung Yen province on the Uzbekistani side were: Mr. Abidov Zakir Khalilovich, Chairman of the Union of Sister Cities under the Committee on Inter-ethnic Relations and Overseas Vietnamese of Uzbekistan; Mr. Alisher Rustamovich Mukhamedov, Chairman of the Uzbekistan-Vietnam Friendship Association; representatives of the Vietnamese community in Uzbekistan; lecturers and students of Tashkent Oriental National University, and Vietnamese students at Tashkent Law University.

Comrade Nguyen Van Chien, Member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee, on behalf of the delegation, shared the news that UNESCO had adopted a resolution honoring and participating in the commemoration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the cultural figure Le Quy Don. He also introduced the achievements, potential, and strengths in the economy, culture, society, tourism, and people of Hung Yen province; and the areas of potential cooperation between Hung Yen province and localities in Uzbekistan.

Representatives of the Union of Sister Cities under the Committee on Inter-ethnic Relations and Overseas Vietnamese of Uzbekistan affirmed the long-standing traditional relationship between Uzbekistan and Vietnam and expressed their hope that the younger generation would continue and further develop this practical cooperative relationship in the future. The conference received a congratulatory letter from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to the Russian Federation and concurrently to Uzbekistan.
