On October 30th, in Samarkand, Republic of Uzbekistan, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) solemnly opened its 43rd session.

The delegation from Hung Yen province attended the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Assembly.
At the opening session, the Hung Yen provincial delegation was led by Mr. Nguyen Van Chien, Member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Provincial Party Committee; Deputy Heads of the delegation included Ms. Quach Thi Huong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Principal of the Nguyen Van Linh Political School; Mr. Vu Ngoc Tri, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; and other members.
The conference took place from October 30 to November 13, 2025. Within the framework of the conference, the UNESCO General Assembly discussed and adopted resolutions on many important issues concerning science, culture, and education of the United Nations; including content related to Vietnam and Hung Yen province.

Comrade Nguyen Van Chien, Standing Committee member and Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, along with the delegation, presented a book about the cultural figure Le Quy Don to the representative of the Japanese delegation.

On the eve of the conference, the Hung Yen Provincial Delegation paid courtesy calls and held meetings and exchanges with Ms. Nguyen Thi Van Anh, Head of the Vietnamese Delegation to UNESCO in the Republic of France; Ms. Audrey Azoulay, Director-General of UNESCO; Mr. Xing Qu, Deputy Director-General of UNESCO; and representatives from the delegations of Laos, Cuba, Japan, and South Korea.
